EQOA Update Notes for 7/28

***Improvements have been made to some of the epic-sodes: The gloves needed for the evil tank epic-sode now drop from the monsters stated in the quest. Taksehir crystal runners now drop the leggings needed for the evil tank epic-sode more often. The undead menace needed for the good tank, evil caster, and evil healer epic-sode will stick around longer before traveling back to the neitherworld. Evil casters will now be directed to the swamps of Tunaria, not incorrectly to Odus. The desert bandits have gotten more confident and will now appear in other towns in the desert. ***Forum Quest #4 is now out, and its for adventurers of the 16th-20th season. Should you complete this quest and think you may be the first, go to our website at www.everquest.com/eqoa and visit the Coliseum of Mischief on the forums. Your clue to the starting location is: Search in places where those who take what is not rightfully theirs habituate, and you'll find a very sad lady with bare feet. ***Other changes: Call of the Hero now has a 0 second cast time. Performing the hunt and gather quests that you gain access to when completing Felidor's quest or the Lieutenant Quest that sends you to Baga Village now awards you faction towards accessing the merchants. Debt has been removed from all characters on the Diren Hold server due to a server crash earlier this week.

July 22nd Updates

July 22, 2005 ----------------- Update Headlines! ----------------- ***Epic-sode 2 has arrived! Adventurers are eligible if they have completed the Epic-sode 1 portion of the level 60 epic path quests. --For those who aligned with the good side-- Caster: Magi`Kot will require your services again in his quest for the ultimate summoning. Priest: Ruddish the Devout shows you how to obtain the second blessing, this time from Tunare. Melee: Sensei Melinus tells you of balance and you will help a frantic man in the bard guild recover his lost troupe. Tank: Paladin Talimus finishes your lesson of honor, and you will begin to learn the value of justice. --For those who aligned with the evil side-- Caster: Animator Jen`Tylis gives you plenty of examples of why blind trust is not wise. Healer: The wacky Seer Yalgima directs you in a search for some powerful undead. Melee: Rashiroz continues to unravel the mysterious prophecy, sending you on many adventures. Tank: Ozmo continues to treat you badly, and you’ll meet a new friend who is just as kind. ***High Level Hunting Area Changes: --Elephant Graveyard-- We reduced power tap by 1/2 for the foes that had it and added a damage-over-time to balance it out. --Spawn Times-- The spawn times have been reduced by 1/2 or more for the following: The Hunt - kobolds camps Syihilthis’ Dwell - kappa elites Plane of Disease - dung camps Envar - tower tomb camps Kerra Isle - kobold camps Erud’s Crossing - guardians of safemoot and harpies If these changes are successful, spawn times will be cut in additional places at a later date. --Level 60 Camps-- A global loot table has been added to the level 60 camps. This means that you will have a chance at the newer hunting areas to loot a rose of renewal (but it will be still quite rare!) ---------------- Billing Reminder ---------------- Due to the increased costs of running the EverQuest Online Adventures game service, we will be increasing our subscription rates. Effective July 25, 2005, the new monthly subscription rate will be $12.99/month. While this announcement may be unpleasant, the cost of operating a top tier MMO has increased significantly over the past few years and this change will help us achieve our goal of providing our players with an enjoyable experience in the world of EverQuest Online Adventures. We will continue to offer discounts from the new rate plan on multi-month subscriptions. The new price for a 3-month subscription will be $34.99, a 6-month subscription will now be $59.99 and a 12-month subscription will now be $89.99. You don't have to do a thing; your account will automatically be migrated to the new billing structure under your current subscription plan when your current subscription plan expires. Subscription rates are subject to tax and value-added taxes, as applicable. These price increases will not affect the SOE Station Access™ subscription rate. July 1st, 2005 -------------- ***Jiver in Halas and Derezin in Neriak are willing to exchange the blade of aqueous protection or the blade of swirling shadows for a staff or totem if you cannot use the sword. ***Coercer Gal`Dima will now reward you for completing the espionage quest. ***Added two new quests for you to discover to continue the story of the invasion. These are for all levels. ***Monsters of the 60th level and above have threatened to go on strike unless they were given a fighting chance against the strong and powerful adventurers they face. Please approach familiar hunting grounds with care, as quite a few monsters have learned how to do considerable damage with their fists. ***Fixed some minor issues: The twin dragons in Plane of Disease will now not appear in a predictable manner. Fixed some typos/equippability issues in various items and minor quest issues. ***Dueling returns with the wagering function disabled. ***Good and evil adventurers level 10 and up can discover some new information on Norrath's current state of affairs. Look around for individuals you have not seen before, they may have tasks for you to complete! ***Monsters in Geomancer's Citadel have some new tricks up their sleeves, and perhaps new weaknesses. They invite you to come back and do battle with them... ***The zombie quests in fog marsh and wymondham have been removed. ***A new forum quest has been added for adventurers of the 50th to 54th season. EQOA Update Notes For 6/8

June 8th, 2005 -------------- ***Changed the froglok herbalist to be non-attackable. ***All of the new undead menaces in centaur valley are now flagged correct as such. ***Lava Centipedes are no longer quite as fire resistant. ***Changed Magi`Kot's text and quest journal to be a bit more clear. ***Some items at the new camps have been adjusted to be equippable that were previously just misc. loot. Think we got 'em all this time. ***Zombie ward should no longer affect friendly undead (pets).

EQOA Update notes for 6/4

***Shaman, warriors, and certain Shadow Knights can begin their epic quest, but they first must speak with the assistant recruiter in either Klik`Anon (good) or Freeport (evil). ***Two items (Karanic Shield and The Foreman's Pick) have lost a bit of their power. The Signet of the Froglok has gained a small amount of power.

EQOA Update Notes for June 3rd

***The first epic-sode is finally here! To be eligible, you must have completed your previous path quest, and you must have reached your 60th season. Those who are aligned with the good side, speak with the recruiter in Klik`Anon. Those who are of the evil persuasion, speak with the recruiter in Freeport. The neutral races that have yet to choose a side, now is the time! Keep in mind that this is just the beginning, and there is much more yet to come... ***Stan Crandleberry's quest has been removed. Look forward to another forum quest soon! ***The Zombie Bashing quest is back, minus the rapid experience gains. ***The Zombie Pet you receive no longer proudly proclaims its level, and will now assist you when you are being attacked.

EQOA Update Notes

May 12th, 2005 -------------- ***A few more zombie slaying activities have been added in the western parts of Tunaria. ***The Grobb Teleport Rune should not be sending adventurers to Klik`Anon anymore. ***Certain oversights with the new factions have been adjusted. ***Pratcher in Diren Hold has been added to the list of quest givers that will respawn more quickly. ***Gladius of the Serpant God now has a small proc. ***Other various minor quest and item issues resolved.

EQOA update May 6th

May 6th, 2005 ------------- Zombie Invasions Continue! ***Certain quest NPCs in the cities being invaded have found a way to be more tightly bound to the land and will reappear more quickly after being "zombified". ***Adventurers of the evil persuasion should search out new tasks to complete to help their alignment. ***Should you have the appropriate faction and have completed the required tasks, new merchants have appeared. Speak with Ubbi Caskol (good) or Linn Terizon (evil) to gain access to them. April 30th, 2005 ---------------- ***Fixed an issue with the forum quest. Now the Bard should spawn for those who need him. April 28th, 2005 ---------------- ***Invasion! A mystical portal has appeared, and zombies have invaded the northwestern areas of tunaria. Good cities and towns call for like-minded individuals to stop the attackers and collect items for the gnomish researchers to study. Evil strongholds, for now, are simply sitting back and enjoying the peril their enemies are in. Those of the neutral persuasion have a decision to make, and should think carefully before getting anyone's blood on their hands. ***Behind the fence and near the windmill there is someone who needs your help. If you're an adventurer of the 41st-45th season you might be able to help. Be the first one to post the TWO items you recieve for completing the quest and you'll win a special forum title and avatar. ***A few merchants inside the city of Highbourne are now on appropriate faction for the city. ***Minor fixes to some quest text and items. ***Dragoons in Neriak should have been returned to their previous strength. ***The CM fix taunt path abilities for all tank classes should now stack properly. April 8th, 2005 --------------- ***The Luck and the Lirpa Sloof quests have been disabled. ***If you are level 41-50 and have not received your Gem of Weakening (but have completed the quest), see Alyssa in Freeport. ***If you're not happy with treasures received (the "of Doubt" and "of Horror" items) from Cazic Thule, see Collector Tracy in Blackwater. ***New quests have been added for levels 15-50. These quests will reward you for gathering items from out of the way areas. ***NPCs that may have been slain previously without much effort may call more powerful friends to protect them, many of which have greater benefits. ***Shriek of Hate should function properly now.
