EQOA update May 6th

May 6th, 2005 ------------- Zombie Invasions Continue! ***Certain quest NPCs in the cities being invaded have found a way to be more tightly bound to the land and will reappear more quickly after being "zombified". ***Adventurers of the evil persuasion should search out new tasks to complete to help their alignment. ***Should you have the appropriate faction and have completed the required tasks, new merchants have appeared. Speak with Ubbi Caskol (good) or Linn Terizon (evil) to gain access to them. April 30th, 2005 ---------------- ***Fixed an issue with the forum quest. Now the Bard should spawn for those who need him. April 28th, 2005 ---------------- ***Invasion! A mystical portal has appeared, and zombies have invaded the northwestern areas of tunaria. Good cities and towns call for like-minded individuals to stop the attackers and collect items for the gnomish researchers to study. Evil strongholds, for now, are simply sitting back and enjoying the peril their enemies are in. Those of the neutral persuasion have a decision to make, and should think carefully before getting anyone's blood on their hands. ***Behind the fence and near the windmill there is someone who needs your help. If you're an adventurer of the 41st-45th season you might be able to help. Be the first one to post the TWO items you recieve for completing the quest and you'll win a special forum title and avatar. ***A few merchants inside the city of Highbourne are now on appropriate faction for the city. ***Minor fixes to some quest text and items. ***Dragoons in Neriak should have been returned to their previous strength. ***The CM fix taunt path abilities for all tank classes should now stack properly. April 8th, 2005 --------------- ***The Luck and the Lirpa Sloof quests have been disabled. ***If you are level 41-50 and have not received your Gem of Weakening (but have completed the quest), see Alyssa in Freeport. ***If you're not happy with treasures received (the "of Doubt" and "of Horror" items) from Cazic Thule, see Collector Tracy in Blackwater. ***New quests have been added for levels 15-50. These quests will reward you for gathering items from out of the way areas. ***NPCs that may have been slain previously without much effort may call more powerful friends to protect them, many of which have greater benefits. ***Shriek of Hate should function properly now.

Disabled Elf Druid Quest
# May 06 2005 at 11:04 AM Rating: Decent

I dont know if anyone realized it but when the zombies appeared and took over Diren Village they disabled the Elf Druid lvl 15 quest. We have to talk to a NPC in Diren and he is like no longer alive and stuff.. And clue as to when the zombies will be packing it up and moving out of Diren Village? :)

It affected more then the one qst, any qst that had a NPC in an infected village made the qst hard to do. IF you check during the day, sometimes all the villagers will be back, or try killing zombies if possible. Otherwise you will be out of luck for the next month or so.
