EQOA Update Notes July 1

July 1st, 2005 -------------- ***Jiver in Halas and Derezin in Neriak are willing to exchange the blade of aqueous protection or the blade of swirling shadows for a staff or totem if you cannot use the sword. ***Coercer Gal`Dima will now reward you for completing the espionage quest. ***Added two new quests for you to discover to continue the story of the invasion. These are for all levels. ***Monsters of the 60th level and above have threatened to go on strike unless they were given a fighting chance against the strong and powerful adventurers they face. Please approach familiar hunting grounds with care, as quite a few monsters have learned how to do considerable damage with their fists. ***Fixed some minor issues: The twin dragons in Plane of Disease will now not appear in a predictable manner. Fixed some typos/equippability issues in various items and minor quest issues. Call to Battle's stamina buff now lasts the full two minutes instead of one. ***Announcements: Community News: Want to continue your gaming experience with fun contests, games, puzzles, and up to the minute news? Billing News: Due to the increased costs of running the EverQuest Online Adventures game service, we will be increasing our subscription rates. Effective July 25, 2005, the new monthly subscription rate will be $12.99/month. While this announcement may be unpleasant, the cost of operating a top tier MMO has increased significantly over the past few years and this change will help us achieve our goal of providing our players with an enjoyable experience in the world of EverQuest Online Adventures. We will continue to offer discounts from the new rate plan on multi-month subscriptions. The new price for a 3-month subscription will be $34.99, a 6-month subscription will now be $59.99 and a 12-month subscription will now be $89.99. You don't have to do a thing; your account will automatically be migrated to the new billing structure under your current subscription plan when your current subscription plan expires. Subscription rates are subject to tax and value-added taxes, as applicable. These price increases will not affect the SOE Station Access™ subscription rate. Also, please note that you will still be able to use Game Cards to pay for your EQOA subscription. The rate for the Game Cards will increase July 25, 2005. For more detailed information on the new subscription rates visit the EQOA website at www.everquest.com/eqoa. Epic news: Epic-sode 2 will be coming soon! Thanks for your patience.
