Hear Ye! Hear Ye! The Quellious Server is having a picnic in Novato, Ca. on Saturday, June 15th, starting at 11am at Stafford Lake Park. All people who have active characters on Quellious are invited to attend. While we don't wish to leave out our friends on other servers, this event is being put together to help Quellites put names and faces together, and to generally just have a blast. Events will include the usual picnic fair (horseshoes, volleyball, etc), as well as an Feign Death imitation contest and Live Quest! Prizes to be awarded: The winner of the Feign Death contest (and yes, it will be video taped and converted to .mpg) will be a prepaid copy of Plane of Power! The winner of the Live Quest will recieve a Luciendar, Sword of Light, that has been very graciously donated by the fine people of United Cutlery! Retail value is $200! (The winner of the Luciendar must be over 18, or they will win a copy of Planes of Power prepaid.) Novato, Ca. is located 20 minutes north of San Francisco in Marin County. On the 16th anyone who wishes to will head to San Francisco and take in the sights, allowing for more time for people on "The Q" to get to know each other and just have fun. A fee of $20 per person (kids under 10 and under free) to cover park rental, food, prizes and other necessities is required. RSVP's and fees must be recieved by May 31st. There is also a $7 per car fee at the park itself. Discount hotel rates have also been arranged at Travelodge and Days Inn in Novato for those who wish to come from outside the Bay Area. You'll need to book early to get these special rates, though.
