While i understand that the actual Faction changes are not being affected in an adverse way, saying it isn't causing any issues is just plain wrong. People hunting new targets and exploring new areas or going to have no idea what faction hits they are really taking. Some folks may not realize what they are doing to their factions. This isn't going to be as much of a problem with veteren players. I have a premium account. I come here and check factions in the bestiary so I know what factions are changing. But the novice EQ players are not going to do that and they are gonna be upset when they finally fix this and those DE noobs find out the hard way that killing all those orcs in CB has been lowering their faction not raising it.

WOW the Faction Messages!
Alan explains the problem with the faction text messages. Seems it was a bug at one time and now is only a text problem, not to worry, it will be fixed next patch.
There is, at this time, a bug in the messages that the server is sending to the client when a character's faction is affected. The server is sending the client the wrong faction name. Also, if a faction change would affect three factions, it's often displaying all three faction names as the same.
Faction updates on characters are working correctly, this is only affecting the displayed faction name that you see.
Because this isn't causing any issues with character faction, we don't plan to patch to fix this until our regularly scheduled patch. A patch to fix this would require taking all servers down, and especially considering yesterday, we'd rather leave them up and let you all play. I just wanted to reassure you that it's just a goofy message error, not a problem with the actual faction of characters.
