I mean, come on. Anybody bother to go to Runnyeye lately, and NOT be in their 40's? The place isn't just a farm, it's a friggin PLANTATION. I managed to get up a group the other day to hunt there while I was lvl 24. Most things were blue, a few even, some red. Still good exp. And good loot. But we didn't hardly get a thing because farmers were ruining the zone. They need to do SOMETHING for this game instead of cater to high lvl players.
I know one thing that made people vote against the TLC was that it interfered with quests. Fine! Don't have those items work under the TLC! Was that so hard?
Verant needs to do something to help this since everyone twinks now. I will admit, I'm partially twinked with some Fine Plate a friend of mine made for me, but that's it. My weapons are mediocre. My stats suck. Mainly because I can't find my own items (which would add alot more fun to the game), and because I don't want to sit there and farm CB belts for 3 weeks to pay for a single piece of stat raising armor.
Back to the Trivial Loot Drawing Board
Brad McQuaid posted in the developer's corner that they have decided to not implement the trivial loot code in the Luclin expansion. Here is what he had to say:
Hello all,
I wanted to update you all on our current thoughts regarding the Trivial Loot Code as it relates to Shadows of Luclin zones.
As per my last couple of 'Ask Brads', we've made both an effort to explain what the Trivial Loot Code does and why we were considering it for all Luclin zones. I'd also mentioned, however, that if most players appeared to be against its inclusion we'd not use it.
After talking with players, reading emails and feedback, and then very recently running a poll, it is indeed apparent that the majority of our playerbase does not feel that the Loot Code's advantages outweigh its restrictions.
In fact, after polling over 200,000 players, most want the looting system left alone, almost as many want us to explore a different solution for bottom feeding and rampant farming, and a minority were in favor of the Trivial Loot Code as it exists today in the Warrens and Stonebrunt Mountains (the remainder either didn't have an opinion or were unfamiliar with TLC).
Well, so be it
We will head back to our drawing boards and keep brainstorming on this issue, but at this current time we do NOT intend on implementing TLC for the zones in our upcoming expansion, the Shadows of Luclin.
I do want to thank everyone for all the feedback and discussion regarding this issue -- there was a lot of debate surrounding this issue, and we've done our best to pay attention.
