Scarlet has completely taken over the latest Guild Wars 2 release.

The Queen's Speech content patch was supposed to release today in Guild Wars 2. Scarlet, apparent leader of the Aetherblades within GW2, has other plans and has completely taken over the new patch.

The patch, now called Clockwork Chaos, has Scarlet's armies (Aetherblades, steam creatures, Molten Alliance and Twisted Watchwork Knights) invading maps all over Tyria. Players can participate in these hourly invasions on any map level 25+ with the exception of Southsun and Orr. Additionally, completing the story will unlock Scarlet's Funhouse, a new instance for up to five players.

Along with the new content are a couple of additional rewards to those previously announced. Players who participate in an invasion can get a per map daily reward choice—so completing an invasion in Gendaren Fields twice in one day will only net you one reward, but doing Gendaren and Fields of Ruin will get you two reward pop-ups). The choice is between 50 scraps, which after collecting 250 can be used to create the new Twisted Watchwork Shoulder Skin, or a bag that contains gear, watchwork sprockets, a rare chance at the shoulder skin and the new Twisted Watchwork Portal Device. This new portal will teleport you to a random place in Tyria including destinations that are very rewarding, dangerous or both!

The Gem Store is also getting a host of new additions with the new Watchwork Finisher, Set 2 of the Minis including 46 new miniatures, a WvW Experience booster that gives 50% more WXP for an hour and Zodiac Weapon Skins obtained with one Black Lion Weapon Ticket.

As previously announced, culling was also turned off with this update. Originally put into the game to ensure good performance, culling would reduce the number of players and monsters visible at any given time. This made the game feel less epic during huge battles. Earlier this year, culling was removed from WvW and today it is being removed throughout the game!
