ArenaNet confirmed in a blog post today, that they have heard the plea's of Spanish speaking fans of Guild Wars 2 and will be implementing Spanish text localization into the game! The game previously included full localization of both voice and text into German and French, and developers felt adding text localization for Spanish was within the realm of possibility. 

However, the game will only be receiving text translation into Spanish due in part to the diversity of spoken Spanish in different regions of the world. While this isn't the only reason, developers felt it would be best for voiced content to remain in English and be accompanied by Spanish subtitles. 

This has of course opened job opportunities with ArenaNet! They are now actively recruiting a qualified Spanish QA and localization editor for their offices in Bellevue, WA, as well as a community manager based in Brighton, England.
