gPotato just announced that the Prius Online open beta will kick off on Thursday, June 2 at 2 p.m. PDT. All players will start on a level playing field because all characters from the closed beta test will be deleted. Everyone will have to create a new character, but the good news is that the server will not be wiped again. The characters you create during the open beta will be around for the life of the game.

The full open beta client will be available for download on May 31, so keep an eye out for that if you plan to try out this free-to-play game's three-character system.
