ZAM to Co-Host Gods & Heroes Live Chat April 12

UPDATE: The Gods & Heroes Ustream chat has ended, but you can watch the recording below!

We are pleased to announce that ZAM will be co-hosting the Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising live dev chat on Ustream on Tuesday, April 12 at 1 p.m. EDT. Editor-in-Chief Darryl "Togikagi" Gangloff will be participating in the show, and you're welcome to join in and talk directly with the game's developers on the Gods & Heroes Ustream page.

If you'd like to submit questions to the Gods & Heroes team in advance, you can post them in the official forums or on the game's Twitter and Facebook pages. You can also leave them in the comments section below. The questions will be compiled and answered live on Ustream!

If you're not familiar with the game, Gods & Heroes is an upcoming MMO from Heatwave Interactive that's focused on Roman mythology. It's currently in closed beta. Latest Gods & Heroes Closed Beta Event Kicks Off

The latest Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising closed beta event kicks off today, March 29, and runs through April 4. To celebrate, Heatwave Interactive has released some new screenshots of the Estate System and the user interface updates that are featured in the beta event. Check out the estate images to see the massive player housing options that are offered in the game.

Gods & Heroes Beta Event Details and UI Q&A

Heatwave Interactive will be hosting another Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising beta test event from March 29 to April 4, and it will feature a quest tracker, combat improvements and animations, UI scaling and notifications, and the alpha phase of the estate system.

The team posted a Q&A today that sheds some light on the UI changes that will be included in the beta event. It covers UI scaling, the quest tracker, an item comparison feature, and a level up notification that showcases what your character earns when you ding. Heatwave also hints at other changes in the works, such as a fast travel system.

BFF Report Episode 60: Gods & Heroes

In his latest BFF Report, Mike B. aka Fony checks out Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising. As the name suggests, the upcoming subscription-based MMO is set in the world of Ancient Rome and has a strong focus on mythology. The game's still in closed beta, so keep that in mind while you watch the video.

GDC: Gods & Heroes Team Discusses Estates and More

During our time at the Game Developers Conference, Editor-in-Chief Darryl "Togikagi" Gangloff had the opportunity to sit down with Executive Producer Anthony Castoro and Lead Designer Tim Schubert to discuss the ambitious estate system that will implemented in Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising at launch. We also talked about the game's crafting system, fast travel options, the quest tracker and more.

Gods & Heroes Closed Beta NDA Lifted

The Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising NDA has officially lifted! All players are now allowed to speak freely about their experiences in this historical MMO, as well as share screenshots and videos. Heatwave Interactive is currently hosting "punctuated" beta events, so sign up on the game's official site for a chance to participate in the tests.

Gods & Heroes Will Include Mature Content

In the latest Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising blog post, the team discusses the change in maturity level that is being inmplemented in the game:

"Our plan has been to bring more mature content to Gods & Heroes, influenced by the language and mythology of Ancient Rome. The mature content involves blood & gore, context appropriate storytelling, context appropriate nudity & sensuality. Our team is excited to make your Roman adventure a more immersive experience than what Gods & Heroes offered previously."

The Focus Beta Test group received the first mature content update this past week. The Gods & Heroes team plans to further discuss its plans for mature content following this week's Game Developers Conference.

New Gods & Heroes Dev Q&A: Quests!

The latest Dev Q&A from Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising is all about quests. This time around Senior Content Designer Todd Bailey is on hand to answer questions covering all things questing, from lore to rewards.

Heatwave Reveals Gods & Heroes Class Details

Heatwave Interactive has released some new screenshots and information on the class types that are available in Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising. Keep reading after the jump to learn more about the Gladiator, Soldier, Mystic and Priest.

Gods & Heroes is currently in closed beta. The team just released a brief Q&A that explains the "punctuated" beta schedule, which basically means that members of the community will be invited to try out the game during specific testing weeks.

New Gods & Heroes Dev Q&A: Join Praetorian Guards

The latest Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising Dev Q&A is a call to arms! Well, it's a call for members to join the Praeorian Guards, to be exact. Probably the most important answer belongs to the most obvious question: what is the Praetorian Guards?

"The Praetorian Guards will be the elite community members who have the drive to create a positive experience.  They are the welcoming committee, cheerleaders and helpful guides; they enhance the experience of players and fans, in and out of game. The Praetorian Guards is made up of players who volunteer their time to role-play, events, coordinating dungeon runs & quests. They maintain the official Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising Wiki site. They gather player feedback, suggestions and requests for their assigned role.  They specifically focus on bug testing and helping new players with technical issues on our forums.  They help the Dev & QA Teams check new patches & features for bugs, along with balance issues."
