Current Known Issues

Since the implementation of the latest version update on Jun. 5, 2007, we have confirmed the following issues. Investigation and recovery work is currently underway.

- Immediately following Level 8 Besieged, the status of enemy forces is displayed as "Preparing."

- Amount of damage inflicted by the weapon skill "Catastrophe" has decreased, and does not drain target's HP.

- The "Provoke" effect from the automaton attachment Strobe has weakened.

- Corsair's ability "Loaded Deck" may miss even though there are two abilities waiting on recast.

- Unable to lock on to targets when a sub-target is selected.

- An NPC named "e" appears on the Wide Scan in Wajaom Woodlands.

-If your system is set to "12 hour time", the Vana'diel time will display 10 minutes fast in event messages.
*Vana'diel time will show up correctly in all other messages.

- Certain area names are abbreviated when using the auto-translate function.

I'm all for difficult Besieged. But when you start to limit the number of people who can participate, it can only get so hard before you'll start to fail every time.

If everyone was smart about it, I'm sure level 8 isn't that bad. But you have a lot of low level characters running around, not to mention the people that are afk...and well...some people just aren't that bright. It's mean to say but you know you still see people nuking Gurfurlor the Menacing when he's got his magic shield up and saying "WTF" even though he's been recovering HP for, oh, 6-7 months now.

LOL I would go right for the wrists if I was one of the people who fully upgraded Scythe.

I actually targeted this while tabbing around for Warhouse Hoofprint... I was like wtf is "e" XD

how about last night in Fei'Yin, Miser Murphy refused to despawn after he chased us out of that area. He camped the enterance for an hour......

Murphy doesn't despawn till he reaches the fountain again (even then, it takes time). He's also likes to take his time going back, this is how it's possible for rdm's to solo him.

I didn't really have a problem with the abbreviated place names, though it would of been nice of them to mention it in their update. Took me forever to figure out Temple of Uggalepih was changed to Uggalepih Temple or soemthing like that lol.

LOL, my LS noticed the abbreviated area names in the auto-translate the day it happened and was having fun with it. Damn near every area anyone could think of had the problem. It might have been a ***** up, but at least everyone had a little giggle at SE's expense. Seeing ppl who have been playing this game years before I have saying "WTF....." and running through the list of area names, and me sitting there with a "?" over my own head watching the area names abbreviated pop up on LS chat, was to say the least amusing.

At least it was an honest, semi-funny ***** up on SE's part that doesn't seem to have done any damage at all. And it seemed to let ppl have a chuckle at what SE did. ^^

Obviously Something happened to you to make you act this way. People aren't just randomly aggressive towards a belief or culture. You are so certain that God isn't real. Have you ever tried talking to him? Or are you afraid you might hear a response and be scared to death? You are telling me that you think the world just 'happened?'. How did it get here? A big bang or something else that is equally as nonsensical. Think about it. Has anything just banged into existence before? No. But how many times have you seen something amazing like a painting or heard an amazing song that was CREATED by someone? You tell me. The truth is obviously apparent that most people miss it. So SE had a little ***** up with the version update, that tends to happen sometimes. Nothing can be done perfectly to the smallest detail, there will always be little things over looked and needing tweaked afterwards, SE isn't trying to "cover their asses"

I don't care if they're "covering their asses" or if it really was an accident (used an older AT file). If they're fixing it, I'm cool with that. All the "Cstl."s and "Rm."s annoy me so badly.

And I'm surprised they found the catastrophe issue, given what I would assume is a fairly short list of Stage 4 and 5 Scythe holders. 25 Apocalyoses and however many Stage 4s...

LOL. They're trying to cover their asses for changing the Auto-Trasnlate function. Yeah, I'm sure the game did that all on it's own, right? Some issue. Noobs. /shakes head at SE.

Exactly how does this *become* an issue? If it wasnt supposed to happen, dont program it in. I find it hard to believe the autotrans names covertly changed themselves.

I've only been playing for a year or so, but I've read other posts on the forums saying that these autotranslations are (at least close to) the abbreviations that used to be used for zone names. I think it's a simple mistake that when getting this update ready to send, they included an old file for auto-translations and never noticed until it's up and running.

On the list of things that they check when making sure everything works, this certainly seems like pretty much the smallest thing (and easiest to miss) ever.

I don't know if it is an issue with other servers but lvl8 Besieged is freakin hard and i know on Pandy there are LOTS of players that wont fight in them anymore. On top of that it took about 2hrs to get a 18man party to go get the Condy back.

Maybe make that freakish lvl8 a little easier or how bout fix the lagg so you dont get rapped by a mob that you dont even see till your dead. /flameoff

Just a little crazy, maybe its not the same for the other servers and if its not then i guess its not a problem but if it is well then i hope they do something.

There is one other error id like to note dont know if it was an isolated problem or not but during a sea farm run we were fighting Temperance everybody playing on the PS2 crashed at about 40% hp all got a black(faint dark blue tint to it) screen no picture no sound had to do a hard reboot >.>

Actually, that has been happening since before the version update. My shell was doing after the Ix'Aerns a couple weeks ago and had similar issues.

We reported it to a GM, and they said it was the first they had heard of the issue.
