EverQuest Online Adventures Game Update for 5/6/04

Some more planar lovin' for you guys: Nearly a year ago, EQOA unlocked a secret new zone, the Isle of Dread. Today, we unlock another! The Plague storyline continues, bringing new challenges, treasure, encounters, adventure and even travel to the all new Plane of Disease! Items: Blessed tattered gloves now appropriately have a charisma modifier Wind worn set of items now modify STA and INT, rather than STR and INT as they did previously Coldfire Grimoire and Pyromantic Ether now have correct graphics when equipped Naturewalkers amulet is now equipable by Halflings (can't forget the Halflings!) Silverwood belt, boots and bracers have revised statistics leading to additional +hp Enchanted Treant Root, Ebon Mandible and Force of Mind weapons now have revised proc effects NPCs: The Hand of Thule is now more resistant to charm. Necromancer Pet Invis: Necromancers can now use new Class Mastery abilities (found under the Death's Sacrament category) to change the look of their 60 pet and 60 weapon spec pet. Through this, a Necro can decide if they want the bone look of the pet, which can be covered by invisibility, or the more sinister looking red swarm pet, which cannot be invis'd.

3 of us in group, 52 War, 52 Mage, and a 60 Liche
1) Takish'Hiz (yellow at 52) Spawned in 3 seperate places. NW, W, then C, next to city on west side... All were in the dead forest area.
2) Fort Alliance (red to 52) Spawned only in C, on the hills surrounding the well.
3) Saliseraneen, or however you spell it (yellow to 60) Spawned in NE, and once in E, but still in the same trench. Just look for the trench and you will find it.
*It is close to the brownie village*
Hope this helps someone.

Some big guild on Hodstock has already defeated Bertoxxulous, last night. Took 46 people to defeat him, and they say he would make regular hits for 1k-2.5k with 1k AOE Disease+Poison DoTs nailing everybody in his line of sight. Took 'em 6 tries before they were successful.

Did you add this zone to the zone map? I didn't see it. Maybe I overlooked it. I'll go check again...

No it's not on the zone map, its just on the areas. I'll have to get Illia to add to add it to the Zone Map.

Also I don't mean to be picky but the zone's actual name is "Last Home". I'm guessing it's like Isle of Dread. Not complaining but ... EQPC players just get the entire planes while we only get subsections of planes :P

It gets REALLY good once you leave the sanatorium and head outside. There is a civilization of puslings out there (little ghoul/ghasts with flies buzzing around them in a halo of what appears to be perpetual fart-cloud), I got a quest involving something about destroying a queen wasp that is tyrannizing them with the help of the springview healers. I got tired so I went into a nearby cave only to find more puslings -- including a "pusling fixer" (blacksmith) and a "pusling trinketer" (banker), but my faction wasn't high enough to deal with them. Probably have to do the queen wasp quest first.

You speak to that little Necrologist gnome in Dead Hills.

Kill the Deathknights in:

Saliseranean (NW I believe)
Fort Alliance (C)
and Takish'Hiz (seems to spawn all over W and NW, I haven't been able to kill this one yet what with 10 diff groups KSing each other left and right)

Respawn times are roughly 5-10 minutes. The one in Saliseranean seems to respawn the quickest.

Return the hearts to the Necrologist. I believe that's all there is to it.

Where exactly is this "little Necrologist gnome" found? I've been searching Dead Hills for a while and I can't find him.

Nevermind:

The Necrologist Zizclank is the one you have to talk to. He's found in Dead Hills (NW)

It would have to be Frontiers, if you get the quest in Dead Hills.

I'm doing the PoD quest now. Word has it the Deathknights can easily be soloed at level 60, ie much easier than getting to IOD. I'm about to find out...

And someone on the Sony forums said, "don't talk to the patients, because the Golems will turn on you".

So, time to add a new zone eh Haggan? :-)

the "last home orderlys" or the golems only attack if you are doing the quest and it requires you to talk to a patient

you need the heart of three dead knights to do the quest
