I've been a fan of Warhammer 40k for a 10 years. Back then it was just a computer game that i fell in love with, but today it is a part of my life as a main hobby with all these games, books and painted miniatures. This universe is so unique and amazing with its brutality and epicness, and it's nice to see that finally fans gets the MMO game they are waiting for a long time. Looking forward to play Blood Angels and Night Lords and hope to see you in game during our eternal crusade, because IN THE GRIM DARKNESS OF THE FAR FUTURE THERE IS ONLY WAR!

Been really excited for a great warhammer 40k game to come out since THQ went under. Really enjoy the fluff of 40k and have 3 table top armies (Iron Warrior CSM, Lamenters BA, and a small necron force). This new mmo looks pretty amazing thus far and the community support and outreach has been such a cool aspect to the hype for the game. Really enjoy the open atmosphere the company has created surrounding the game.

I'm excited for Eternal Crusade for the fact that I'll be able to (hopefully) experience the epic battles of the 40k universe as they should be. Taking a look at the footage so far, it looks very promising, and I hope that it ends up meeting everyone's expectations.

I've got a Dark Angels army and a Death Korps of Krieg army that I'm currently working on. I know that IG hasn't been mentioned or revealed yet, so I'm really crossing my fingers, that IG is added in the future at some point since I'd love to play as a Krieger.

Besides that, I look forward mostly to playing with a good buddy of mine and maybe starting a guild to blast some heretics for the Emperor.
Long wait but shuld be worth it!

I'm probably one of many people who owns tabletop miniatures, painted and packed away. Never fully understood the rules or had time to go play down at the stores.
I instead opted to play Dawn of War, then the subsequent expansions, I love the 40K universe, whether I'm deep striking marines or choppin humies wid da boyz, finally this game gets the MMO platform it deserves.
I can't wait to get involved in this rich, immersive universe, slaughtering xenos in power-armour or flowing through the battlefield in pristine eldar works of art. I want to try it all, my mind is overflowing with the possibilities and for once I am truly excited about a game coming out, the kind of excitement that brings me back to the glory days of gaming like as a teen.
Most of all, I want to be a Terminator - specifically of the Grey Knight chapter, nothing beats the idea of a team of these behemoths cutting a swath through enemy lines.
Eternal Excitement

I've been playing 40k since I was around 11. I'm now 24 and a single mother. My kid has started playing too. So its lovely to have something to bond over!

I'm very much looking forward to the Ork's. Always loved the humour for them and I hope it translates into the game as well!

I've been waiting for over a decade for a great 40k game, and I am glad to see it finally coming to fruition! Having played warhammer and 40k since high school, and amassing armies beyond count (thousands of models), giving us the opportunity to play in this Universe is a welcome development.

Chaos Marines will absolutely take it to the house, and I would love to see Dark Eldar make an appearance. If we're seeing the Eldar at a first pass, why not include their evil, and much more awesome, Dark brothers in a later expansion?

Succeed with this game, and all the Daemonettes will cry for joy!
pick me!

I had one elder(not eldar) cousin who was playing with Catachan(IG or AM nowadays) back in the late '90s. (always wanted to use back in the '90s in a sentence...) 3rd edition they had different rules. Demolition charges, WS, BS etc... Loved the models but couldn't afford them then and actually lived in a city where i had no chance to get them etc. Then i got older, got back to the my hometown. Five or six months later DoW was released. Literallly made the connection with 40k thanks to the magazines my cousin had that i had read before. Thinking back, my english levels were not sufficient as well. Whatever, thanks to the DoW i was interested in 40k again. Time passed, now i nearly played everything (video games) i can and more importantly, i have an imperial guard army. Though not catachans, i have their 6th ed battleforce as well.
I found DoW games and Space Marines quite enjoyable and a few other games. My favourite was Chaos Gate. Played Warhammer Online and actually quite enjoyed it. Then i started waiting for a massive 40k multiplayer game. Now think about how i felt when i heard Dark Milennium was announced then 'cancelled'. Then like a refreshing spring rain, Eternal Crusade was announced. My hopes are alive since then. I am also excited since.
I have a group of people whom for the last 7-8 years i have been playing games with. 4 of us are waiting for the game with patience. And i think we will effect the rest of the group. :D
I think that depending on how the game's story goes. It has a chance to be canon. And more importantly, there must be a reason for all nearly all the major races of 40k to be on Arkhona. So why? Pylons? Maybe... Specificly, i want to know why are all the major races on the planet or will be*. (tau, dark eldar etc) Considering that i read a lot about 40k, this is what i am most interested about lore of the game.
Gameplay wise, i really want to play as a squad. Really, i know it is somehow seems weird but i wanna play as it is. Also, command system is interesting. I played GW2 and even that interesting commander system was good enough for me. Now i am excited when i think what can they do with a good commanding tool, interface that i heard more than once Behaviour is going to implement. If, White Scars will be there at launch, i want to sit on my bike on a hill, then charge with my bike and actually feel that i am living the game. Yet, thanks to my buds loving respectively, Orks and Chaos might be the choice for me. (LET'S WAAAAGH IT ON?)
More than anything, i do hope this game does well.

Why do I love the it? I've always had a fondness for cyberpunk, dark and dystopian themes. There's a combination of absolute horror at the darkness, the obscene scale of the thing, as well as the lighter sides and the over-the-top silliness that comes along with it sometimes (looking at you Orks).

I'm a very big fan of the Black Library novelisations as well. It's so far out of the realm of possible as to be fantastical, without the standard fantasy tropes of noble elves and wise dragons and also encompassing huge guns, massive walking machines and starships larger than the city I live in. There's aspects of Lovecraftian horror in the Chaos Gods and denizens of the warp, but at the same time there's the horror of what man can do to himself - the grinding oppression of a massive bureaucracy and of how much it can stagnate the society around it.

Like any franchised story setting, there's the mediocre and the downright bad. But, then there's the sublime and hugely powerful stories. Dan Abnett and Graham McNeill are my two personal favourite 40k authors. Both have written stories in the 40k setting that are not just entertaining military/sci-fi stories, but have also touched me enough to get an emotional response. So i'm really looking forward as to how Graham does with this one. Especially with the Chaos faction.

I'm also simply looking forward to being able to play as a Chaos Space Marine, a personal favourite of mine which hasn't been done before (with the exception of multiplayer in the Warhammer: Space Marine videogame).

A little backstory.
# Jun 25 2014 at 3:14 AM Rating: Decent
Good morning from England,

Ever since I was a little boy I remember my father taking me down town to HMV to check out the latest Nintendo games and across the street there was a Games Workshop shop that had the Warhammer tabletop. I remember standing outside the window display, in awe of how fearsome the Orks looked like in armour and the little details on the small figures. Alas, I never had the opportunite of owning a tabletop of the Warhammer and Warhammer 40K.

I had an amazing time in the Warhammer Online Age of Reckoning game, started off as a Goblin Shaman and ended up playing as a Warrior Priest. But what really intrigues me is a Warhammer 40K MMO. I absolutely love the distinctions between the races but I would love to get my hands on a typical Space Marine, devouts of the Emperor, unleashing havoc upon heretics. I really have my hopes up for Eternal Crusade.

I shall be joining the ranks with my brother and friends.

Meet you in the battlefield.

I've always loved the Warhammer universe, both Fantasy and 40k, and have been reading books or playing games for over a decade. I was so excited for EC that it actually gave me the push to begin playing the Tabletop, and I'm glad I decided to. Despite the hole it's put in my wallet, it's a great game and I've met some great people while playing it.

I'm looking forward most to playing some of my favorite units from the tabletop in a video game.
Prepare for WAR

Greetings from Germany.

Well iam in the hobby for over 20 years now. Started with an Fantasy Empire army but than switched over to WH40k. There i play the 2nd company of the Ultramarines.

Well i came to EC over the now canceld Dark Millenium MMO. I am following EC since the announcement of Behavior and iam an active member of the forum there.

I like the ec choice with the four factions and their subs. cant wait until the game is out and ready to go to WAR. It was (is) really time for an gog WH40k online game and i hope EC will fill this position.
I think they go the right way an listen to the forum suggestens. and i like their open communication between the community and the devs. Sure not everything from the TT can be implemented but its close enough to the GW core to have the feeling of beeing in the 40k millenium.
i for myself hope that some other races will be in the game later after release but that are sounds for the future. and the idea of the founder program is a great opportunity for us players to help make EC better.

So all i can say get ready for war and prepare your Weapons!

For the Dark Gods!

I am so stocked for Eternal Crusade. I have played table top since for about 4 years, but was never able to keep up with it, I am not artzy. I love the lore about the Warhammer 40k universe. I am currently in the Warrior nation guild. I am Overjoyed that the Night Lords are going to be used as a starting Chaos Chapter. My favorite mechanic that I have heard so far is that it will be free to WAAAAGGHHH wit da Boyzz.

I appreciate all that the Eternal crusade staff have done for the community, you are all amazing! Thanks for your caring, I hope to slaughter you on the battle field for the Dark Gods!

Cant wait to stride Arkhona and serve justice to the Xenos and Traitor hordes!
WH40K is my all-time favourite sci-fi/fantasy setting
# Jun 25 2014 at 12:15 AM Rating: Decent
I've been waiting for a WH40K game that would let me fill the armoured boots of a Space/Chaos Marine since 1988. I want to be a Night Lord Raptor and (hopefully) a Raven Guard Assault Marine leaping from the shadows. I want to break a siege with the Iron Warriors, charge into battle beside the Vlka Fenryka, smash down upon my enemies in a drop pod, hold back the tide of a Tyranid horde and an Ork Waaaagh, tangle with the deadly Eldar and ride to war in a Land Raider.

I also want to find out why Arkhona is so important that 8+ first founding chapters/legions, the major craftworlds, most clans and the Great Devourer are all there.

I've played tabletop 40K (all 4 EC armies plus Necrons) and Epic (Imperium, Chaos and Orks) since the Rogue Trader / Adeptus Titanicus era of the late 1980s. I read every Black Library novel I can. I've been a computer/console gamer since the 1970s, online since the early 1990s, playing MMOs since 1999. Each step of the way I've hoped for an immersive WH40K game that would let me BE just a single Space/Chaos Marine going to war alongside my brothers.

That is why I'm so excited for Eternal Crusade and why, as a moderator of a gaming community, I'm trying to instil that excitement in all of my friends too, to get 60+ of us playing together at the same time like in Planetside 1 & 2.

I am a die-hard War40k fan for nearly 7 yrs , I played all the 40k games starting from Dawn of War 1 and I own all of them except those which were created for mobile devices (Smiley: mad Smiley: bah Smiley: disappointed). I never played tabletop Smiley: frown but I would like to try it out , but i guess it's hard to start without a good community around my neighborhood. First of all I am interested because EC will be a Warhammer (40k) game but the important thing is that it is promising and it looks like that it won't disappear... and maybe for other IPs these wouldn't be a big thing but in the history of war40k games there were "some" errors... and maybe , i repeat maybe this game will change the course Smiley: nod. I have some 40k fan buddies IRL so I will have mates to play with and most likely I will try to join my former 40k space marine guild when closed beta starts. I am looking forward to play as a assault marine in the name of the Emprah but chaos tainted long ago so I am willing to check out that side , too.

For the War40k IP , you EC must PREVAIL! In Miguel we TRUST :D

I have played WH40K tabletop for 5 years, if counting PC games, it is 10 year since I knew the game. It will be a fantastic game to play with all 40K fans around the world in an online game. I will invite all my friends to join the epic battle on Arkhona and we will forge an unstoppable force to purge the aliens and xenos. I fell most interesting with the secrets on the planet attracting so many races. Maybe I am not good at fighting, but the good tactics and cooperation in the team will direct us to victory. So I am very like to be a commander or boss.

No one can bear Emperor's wrath. Let the war begin!
