New video features PS2 in action as new Players Site detailed

PlanetSide 2 is showcasing its best and brightest, and Sony Online manage to snag Robert Stoneman, machinima, film and video game cinematographer.

His previous work includes the Transformers Universe, a Battlefield 3 webshow, and The Dark Knight. His newest machinima, called War Correspdondent, will be covering the most beautiful war ever to be waged. If you're into PlanetSide 2, this is a series to watch.

Also, if you want further details on just what is going on in the world of Auraxis, the new PlanetSide 2 Players Site has launched with a huge vault of information on weapons, vehicles and other players with the leaderboards section. You can even check out a live map to keep up to the minute on the enemies' movements.

There is a lot changing for PlanetSide 2, and the move to expand the battle by focusing player populations continues with server merges. This week the following changes will occur:

• US West: Genudine and Helios will merge to Helios
• US East: Mattherson and SolTech will merge to Mattherson
• US East: Waterson and Jaeger will merge to Waterson
• EU: Cobalt and Lithcorp will merge to Cobalt
• EU: Ceres and Mallory will merge to Ceres
