My First LOTRO memory is agonising for hours at the character create screen. What class do i want to be? what race? Too many options, what if i choose a bad one? I went champ and never looked back :)

My Favourite memory is the first time i stepped in Lothlorien after leaving moria, the trees, the sunlight the music, that dazzle in the air, it was like being transported into some other dimension. The beautiful landscape took my breath away, still does, but was tinged with sadness after everything that was lost in moria. An amazing moment.

My First Memory: I remember the kindness I received, and how I had friends and a kin within hours of playing.

My Favorite Memory: My kinship was a like family to me, and the best time was when they stayed up from sunset to almost sunrise to run my newly 50 through Barad Gularan and Carn Dum, laughing and having fun until we passed out on our keyboards.

My first memory is the colour purple as my elf was popped in to Celondim as the sun was setting and it was mesmerising!

My favourite memory is of the first time I made a full suit of crafted armour on my hunter; I was so proud of it.

One of the very first things I can remember about LotRo is: In 2007 my older brother and I saw a TV-commercial about a new game called 'the Lord of the Rings online' when I was only 11 years old. My older brother and I looked at eachother and thought to ourselves "we MUST have this game - it's the Lord of the Rings in a MMO version". It couldn't be better! We both love Tolkien's masterpiece and Peter Jackson's masterpiece. My brother taught me alot in the game - I taught him some stuff as well.

My favorite memory from LotRo is definately when i was raiding with my kinship containing people at the age of 20+ and being as good as them and speaking with them and having fun. Today I'm 16 years old and I am still raiding with some of the same guys and we are just having fun. I have got many many other memories from LotRo.

Happy 5th anniversary everyone!! It has been epic!! :-)

Your first memory in LOTRO - I remember going to the Green Dragon on Landroval as my elf minstrel, and there was a hobbit outside who threw a small, adorable fit, yelling about all these tall folk acting suspicious and demanding I go back to my tall-folk town and leave him alone.

Your favorite memory in LOTRO - The first time I took a friend to Rivendell, and stopping along that path and hearing her on the mic as her breath caught to finally, finally see the Last Homely House in 'person', and just the magic of being able to walk through such a beautiful landmark.

First memory: roaming around Ered Luin as a dwarf, exploring and admiring the landscape.

Favorite memory: attempting (and succeeding!) to walk from The Shire through Bree-land, The Lone-lands and The Trollshaws all the way to Rivendell for the first time ever, as a level 1 chicken (in chicken session play).

My first memory of lotro was happily running around Archet doing my quests, achieved level 6, went to speak to the class trainer and BANG, my computer blew up - smoke everywhere, horrible smell, but I was more gutted that I couldn't keep on playing.

My favourite memory of lotro would be a GB run with an extremely nub hunter who couldn't keep his aggro down, and then trolled me for not healing him; little did I know he'd go on to be the love of my life. :)

Your first memory in LOTRO
Most likely starting an Elf Hunter from Mirkwood. Creating that character was really great, and I was truly amazed at the starting storyline.

Your favorite memory in LOTRO
I have two:
1.) At first I named my Loremaster Ameras, and my captain Antheras, then when they reached around level 15-20-ish I realized it would have been better if it was the other way around, so.. I deleted both, and renamed them. And Ameras, the Gondorian captain is still my main ever since :)
2.) Beating Bob, the Balrog. My God, that was a glorious moment for me *__* I still have his big-*** sword stationed next to my tiny house :)

First Memory: Coming face to face with a Nazgul in the old hobbit introduction quest. I was instantly hooked.

Best Memory: Finding and joining my kinship. Whether we're crafting things for new members, playing music, questing together, or running group instances, the other players in the game make it great.

First memory was the group content on Weathertop. It was the first time my friend and i had seen anything like the troll final boss... We literally yelled over voip when it burst out, and we wiped from sheer surprise!

Favorite memory was getting to level cap and attempting the "Rift". Still the finest raid LOTRO has, and the moment we killed the Balrog was immensely emotional after all the weeks of hard work. I still play with most of those folks today. Fun too, as i have a toy seal that when you clap it, makes a noise. When the Elf chick says "i shall open the seals", i'd set it off over the mic and watch any pug members wonder what was going on as the regular members laugh.

I still set it off today in Draigoch and Isen instances for laughs :)

My first real memory of LOTRO was joining a fellowship to run the old Great Barrow instance; I loved it so much, I bought a lifetime subscription before my free trial was even over.

My favorite memory of LOTRO is a recent one: the excellent community on Brandywine organized a memorial event for a beloved player who had passed away after a struggle with cancer; this will always be memorable because it took place in LOTRO's PvMP region and players voluntarily ceased hostilities for the duration of the memorial.

My first memory in LOTRO is feeling pulled in almost immediately by the epic story line and feeling horrible that I couldn't save Amdir - I play a Minstrel as my main, after all. They have done a fantastic job at giving you a purpose in the game.

My favorite memory in LOTRO is when we were off on another adventure in the Trollshaws and from the other room my newborn son started crying. My wife jumps up and runs to the other room calling out, "I'll be right back...I've picked up some baby aggro." You know you've truly arrived when it bleeds over into your life. :-)
Thank you turbine... for an amazing game and an amazing girl

First of all thank you for giving us the chance to participate in this contest.

Your first memory in LOTRO - I remember the moment when I met Strider (Aragorn) - it was the moment that really drawn me to the game.

Your favorite memory in LOTRO - I owe many good memories to LOTRO, but honestly most of them are not related to the game itself (although there are quite a few like these), but to the people I met here - and really LOTRO has the most amazing community from all MMORPGS I ever played. Yet, my best memory is by far this one:
- It was a cold night (both IRL and in Gondamon where I was leveling my first toon) and I was kinda freezing so the plan was to stay just a couple more minutes and log out. But it looks God (or Iluvatar) had different plans for me for that night. While questing I found a nice elfish girl who invited me to group up to quest together; it was the first time when I was grouping with someone and she was an experienced player who was just starting a new character so the experience was an amazing one; not only everything went much more smoother, but she also gave me a few hints about my class and even craft me some nice gear. On top of this she was a nice company, so when I found she's also from my country (Romania) she went straight in my friends list and every time when I got online I contacted her. Two years passed since that night, yet I still keep my habit, with a little difference, I'm no longer whispering her, but go straight to her, give her a gentle kiss and ask "Baby, are you in the mood for a travel to Middle Earth?". Oh, and did I mention that we're getting married in September? The only question remaining is if we should have our in game ceremony before or after the real life one? :)

First memory - Looking at all the in-game maps and realizing I'll get to travel to Moria and Lothlórien and all the amazing places some day.

Favorite memory - Finally getting a kinship house with our kinship, it was so exciting and everyone was just running around the Middle-Earth trying to get the coolest housing items.

First memory - Taking 3 months to level to 19 on a hunter - playing every night - I was just sooo super cautious, convinced that I'd die and the game would end, and so definitely didn't want this game to end!

Favourite memory - A Balrog raid that our alliance held for my birthday, so I could get the final piece of armour - such wonderful people, from all over the world - and I won Wigfeld too :D

The First Notable Memory was the end of beta event I was in Tresslebridge on my captain when the event started and I remember the massive melee and slaughter of players that ensued it was great.

My favorite memory was burgling monsters during headstart up in the north downs and tresslebidge area. Those burgles helped me fund numerous alts.

First memory: Starting as a dwarf guardian and being able to fight with 4 or 5 mobs at the same time without dying. Made me feel rough!

Favourite memory: Being rescued by Tom Bombadil! I was having a bad time at the end of the instance, I was about to die and he just destroyed a wall and entered singing. I was so relieved!

My first memory of LOTRO was 'This is definitely not WOW - it's so beautiful and immersive.'

My favourite memory in LOTRO was when I met my kin leader of 4 years plus - Thereckoning of Vox Immortalis. I was questing in the Lone Lands and looking for help me on a quest. 'Reck' came to help and then invited me into the kin - and there I've stayed. Casual, social, friendly - that's Vox!

My first memory in LOTRO is meeting Gandalf in the Prancing Pony.

My favorite memory in LOTRO was while fishing in Celondim. I was relaxing, enjoying the scenery, while catching some fish, and a dwarf walks up to me, lights a pipe, starts puffing it, and asks how the fishing is today. We get to talking a bit, but eventually end up enjoying the sunset together.

My favorite memory: going to Rivendell for the first time.

First real memory: Musicians playing outside the Prancing Pony in Bree. My first character was a Minstrel and this was amazing for me, got me to start converting some music I liked to MIDI form so that I could play them while hanging out there. Subsequently I did spend most of my non-adventuring time outside the Prancing Pony, it's a really memorable location throughout my LotRO life.

Favourite memory has to be that one time when I ventured about Eriador in an epic quest... to fish. While mostly just minding my own business and trying to seek out a good fishing spot in Forochel, I came across this magnificent beast, Torahammas and his friends. There was clearly some sort of party going on, but I wasn't too interested in getting involved - I was alone without an invite and didn't even bring along any drinks. Other times I remember were running through areas heavily infested in purple mobs just to get to another location, or training alone on much higher level mobs. Minstrels really can dish out some damage and hold their own even against a group of stronger mobs, and that really made for less grind and more adventure.

First memory in LOTRO: Exploring Bree and the Bree-land area and feeling like I'm running around in the LOTRO books.

Favorite memory in LOTRO: Entering Moria for the first time and realizing how dark, large, and maze-like it is. Very atmospheric.
