First Memory and Favorite Memory

My first memory was of Strider rescuing me from the jail cell and the ensuing fight to escape and rescue the others. I immediately felt like I was part of the world I loved in the books. And it has continued.

My favorite memory was seeing Rivendell for the first time and finding Gandalf and Frodo in the Last Homely House. The music for that zone and the beautiful scenery took my breath away.

My first memory: fighting spiders in a snowy area, beating them, and then accidentally falling to my death a short time later

My favorite memory: Riding out into a field and seeing a vast area all around, then opening the map and seeing how many different places my journey could take me from there. It really felt like an adventure, and a chance to explore the beautifully-crafted realm of Middle Earth.

My first memory in LOTRO: I played in Beta and was one of the first players on Arkenstone server...I remember thinking that this would be the first time in an MMO where I could pick just about any name I want and it wouldn't be taken. I chose a Hobbit Minstrel named Peat...he remains at level 17.
My favorite Memory in LOTRO: My favorite memory was a recent one. It was when Galadriel met me in her garden and discerned my future the same way she had for Frodo THEN the great eagle came down and that was it! I thought that was awesome. Little moments like that make us little guys feel like an integral part of something much larger and fantastic.

First memory: Being absolutely transfixed by the water in Archet. It looked SO REAL, I literally oohed and ahhed for several minutes over it.

Favorite memory: Climbing to the top of Weathertop and then promptly falling off the edge. I was laughing so hard I couldn't even breath. Such a beautiful place, and then suddenly PLUMMETING TO MY DEATH!

I'll never forget the time I got caught stealing pumpkins from old Farmer Maggot's pumpkin patch. It was a sunny fall afternoon, and I was with my friend Nitmuck. We were giggling so hard I thought I'd wet my pants! At first we tried to steal two Pumpkins each, but they were too heavy and we dropped them, and that made us laugh even harder. Finally, we each picked out a good one, and we were just about to sneak back through the fence when we heard a low, deep voice behind us. "Just where do you think you're going with those pumpkins?" I gulped and turned around. It was old Farmer Maggot, waving a bright steel garden shovel at us. Nitmuck dropped his pumpkin, then pulled out a throwing knife in his waist, turned, and threw it. But the turning must have thrown off his aim, because the knife only stuck in Farmer Maggot's thigh. Farmer Maggot immediately swung the large heavy spade at Nitmuck, slicing deeply into his shoulder. Nitmuck tried to throw another knife, but his shoulder was so torn up he couldn't raise his arm. Just as he was trying to switch to his left hand, Farmer Maggot ran up and cracked him across the face with the flat end of the shovel. Nitmuck fell to the ground in a heap. Farmer Maggot raised the spade to finish him off, but just then Nitmuck pulled out his 2nd Age Dagger with +7 to Hobbit-kind and plunged it into the farmer's big white belly. After that, I don't think I stole pumpkins for at least a year!

My first memory was creating an elf and logging into the game, then seeing Elrond at the end of the intro 'slay a cave troll' and I couldn't stop fangirlling.

My favourite memory was my first time riding into Forochel from Evendim, down into the first valley where I could still see the sun setting in the distance through a gap, with the northern lights - that I didn't know were there - coming out overhead.

My first memory in LotRO was standing in Archet, back in the OLD OLD days, and watching as my wife, married 5 years coincidentally, log in with her character, and the whole day we ran around playing and enjoying this literary love brought to life.

My favourite memory is when my wife and I were running through Staddle, towards the Midgewater, and we had aggroed a ton of bears, and for some reason I just started laughing and going "AHHHH THEY'RE GONNA EAT ME" at the top of my lungs. We laughed so hard that we were crying. It was just one of those moments that you never forget.

First Memory: While my poor hobbit was exploring the lands of the Shire, he was cornered by a group of goblins and this was the first time I was defeated u.u

Favorite Memory: When I retraced the footsteps of Frodo and his friends, and arrived at Rivendell for the first time, that was a memorable moment.

My first memory: Sitting at the character creation screen, deciding which combination of head shape, eyebrows, and what have you would most adequately express my inner Elf for all time. (Needless to say, I do not now play strictly on this main; I have developed altoholism like whoa.)

My favorite memory: Being up way past my bedtime with two kinmates (holla, Second Breakfast on Crickhollow!) discovering sentences, particularly LOTR-related sentences, that can be typed entirely with the left hand. I asserted, "Dwarves created a sweater," to which my kinnie countered: "Fat Dwarves wear Versace."

My first memory: running around on my elf hunter on the F2P beta, getting excited about trying the game for real, since at the time, I was playing another MMO and didn't want to pay to try out another. (Now LOTRO is my main MMO.)

My fondest memories: two manning dungeons with my fiance. It's nice to have a game that we can play together, just the two of us, or with friends.

First Memory: I remember spending 6 hours straight farming and cooking, and then the next day eating the hundreds of foods we created in a mini-Thanksgiving feast on the actual Thanksgiving.

Favorite Memory: Discovering my current kin when they helped me get my level 16 burglar to Rivendell to complete the anniversary quest that earned me the title firecracker, an awesome kin that I would never leave, and lots and lots of fun.

First Memory
I remeber thinking "This game is kind good...", after playing it for 7 hours in a row and finding out it was the game I was gonna play forever..

When I came to Lone-Lands, over the WeatherTop, and all of the LOTR story passed trhough my mind again... seeing Frodo being stabbed in the chest by the Nazgul King and taken to Rivendell by Arwen.

I was playing with my sister and we were passing by Bree when we stumbled upon an improvised musical performance and we were so surprised by it that we stopped to listen, dance and cheer in the forming crowd of spectators.

First time healing a full fellowship instance on my minstrel where no one died and I got compliments from the tank <3

First Memory

I remember the loading screens how they seemed to take forever but most likely I was just so excited to see more and more and more of Middle Earth and see what I could do in Tolkien's world.

Favorite Memory

Absolutely Moria -- the hype leading up to it, sitting down and reading the Lord of the Rings series again leading up to release, and the absolute "awe" factor when first adventuring thru the region. The scale, the detail, and the atmosphere of this immense "dungeon" -- the game music adding anticipation, leaping out of my seat when combat struck me from out of no where, and having that edge-of-my-seat excitement to steadily learn more -- it was like living the adventure and terror that was only hinted at within the books, but feeling so much more like actually being IN the book.

The First Memory

My first memory of Lord of the Rings Online would likely be the character creation. I recall the anticipation of wondering what the character customization would be like. Though I prefer a bit more in-depth customization I continued onward at the behest of my friends who were playing the game already. And so, here I am...still playing the game.

The Fondest Memory

My fondest memory of Lord of the Rings Online that comes to mind is when I was playing music in Bree with one of my friends, Berowalde. We were playing "GhostBusters", and suddenly he bursted out with "WightBusters!". It still makes me laugh and he will still sing the newly minted version. Truly, I've had some of my enjoyable times sitting back and playing music, wherever it be.

First Memory: Being thrown into the introduction instance going "Wow! This seems like a cool game already!".

Best Memory: The end of the volume 2 prologue where we see the Fellowship go off on their journey really had a big impact on me.

First memory: I remember how breathtaking it was to just roam around Archet, to the Folly as well as woods as an man guardian, I was instantly taken by the game.

Favourite memory: Me and my two friends exploring Evendim. I remember when we first got there that the landscape was great. The part to Dwaling pretty much was similar to Shire. But then we got to High Kings Crossing and that was truly amazing. To see that giant statue was great, and even better when we got to climb on top of it. Then we proceded to Tinnudir and explored the islands a bit. We were fascinated by the sheere amount of effort that was put in constructing those places. We saw all the islands and explored the whole region. We liked the waterfall where the elf girl was, but the best thing was Anumminas. The amount of details in it is stunning. Although we had to fight our way in, we just had to stop every now and then to just admire the work they've done in the city. It was especialy great when we got to the upper level of Annuminas and we could see everything below, that was really amazing. That is the most vivid memory I have of this game, although there has been many since.

First Memory:

Rolling my first Champion and seeing the prologue play out was a blast of fresh air coming from other, less story driven MMO's. I was hooked.

Favorite Memory:

Using LoTRO as a way to reconnect with my brother while we're away at university. Losing my best friend was the most difficult part of going to college and, being the Tolkien nerds we are, LoTRO allows us to hang out like we used to. Whether its through orc slaying, quest grinding, or just sitting by Evendim quietly smoking and fishing. It's really something special.

My first memory was at the character selection screen trying to figure out what class I wanted to be, and how I would start my LOTRO adventures.

My favorite memory was receiving my hobbie and taking the level 5 quest to the river in the shire where I enjoyed fishing in LOTRO for the first time.

My first memory is arriving in Celondim after finishing the intro in Thorin's Gate and being struck by the beauty of the place.

My favourite memory is of the first time I ever healed a fellowship instance run on my rune-keeper Zigil -- in Carn Dum, on-level. Since I had only soloed up to that point, I had only used the "battle attuned" skills; most healing skills only become available when one is healing during combat, which I had never had the luxury of doing. So many of the skills I was using for the first time, and it was amazing how potent they were, with beautiful, swirling, mystic graphics! The six of us got to the water boss Helchgam -- how terrifying his enormous size and morale pool was! Very quickly all were defeated except the tank and me. He and I proceeded to slowly but surely fight Helchgam one tentacle at a time. We would hide behind a pillar until the Beast was vulnerable, and then he would go out and slash at the closest tentacle, me healing him from relative safety behind the pillar. What seemed like hours later, but was probably 15 minutes or so, we finally defeated our ancient foe, and I was able to revive the fallen to join in the rolls for the amazing loot, some items of which could fetch a small fortune at the auction house. I was on top of Arda! i knew then that the role of the healer, keeping others alive so they could push themselves to greater feats of heroism, was the role for me.
