This hotfix should last about 90 minutes; notes are not yet available.

The North American region shards will be coming down for a brief update at 8:00am PDT on September 1, 2011. The estimated downtime is 90 minutes.  As of publication no patch notes were available, but the Rift Twitter feed says "for some database upgrades and a Hot Fix".  Watch this space for notes when they become available!
