Aion's last "Eye on the Community" for March

This week, the Aion team focused on Aion Machinima and talked about the nature of emergency server maintenance

Another week, another one of Aion's Eye on the Community! This week, the Aion team made a new move and decided that, instead of focusing on answering curious player questions about Aion Lore, the community team would focus on some player complaints, most notably being when servers have to undergo emergency maintenance and most players are given anywhere from 15 minutes to 60 seconds to log out.

Of course, anyone who understands the complicated nature of game server hosting, would also understand that computers are fickle beasts, and the Aion Community team notes that "Occasionally, a server has to be shut down and restarted immediately. This is when you encounter the infamous 60 seconds notification message in the game. . . We work hard to make the game servers as stable as possible, but sometimes crashes happen despite our steadfast efforts." In other words, sometimes these things happen, and there's very little that can be done about it. Even Blizzard's World of Warcraft has had to undergo several server restarts with the launch of patch 3.3.3!

The Aion team also talked about Aion Machinima, and they highlighted some popular machinima videos currently circulating Youtube. If you think you've got what it takes to make some killer Aion machinima videos, maybe you should take a shot and send it over to the Aion Community team!
