Just spent the last 3 hours downloading the client from your server and when I go to extract the file it says it's corrupted - so no Startrek for me - will get it from the official website I guess.

Anyone else run into this problem?

I'm unable to download the STO file from the page provided. Keep getting error that file is not found. I've verified I'm logged in and have tried reloading the page several times. Has it disappeared? I'm able to download other files fine.
[Edit]Seems to be a problem with how the web server and IE handle the file headers. FireFox is working fine.[/Edit]

The request key is greyed out. Over at the STO website it says that keys are still available from the ZAM website. Could you help possibly?

Pretty dissapointed with the download options available here. I got into the beta via pre-ordering the game from gamestop but unfortunately the options for download are garbage. I probably should have pre-ordered via steam cuz they generally arent that crappy when it comes to digital distribution.

Got the key and tried three different places to download the client from...

Fileplanet is the same old POS that it has ever been... anywhere between an hour wait to 3 hours in a queue and if you are not at your PC to accept the download you get timed out.

Cryptic's own torrent file was downloading at about 100K/sec... which isn't too bad, but will still take awhile...

And TenTonHammer's download 9which is the one I decided to stay n the longest is sitting at 8% complete for about 3 hours downloading (45K/sec-ish)... when it IS downloading, but I have looked at it several times and it is just sitting there not doing anything.

edit in: Still downloading from the torrent. Sitting at about 81% complete now. TTH's download page thing times out on me now, so no use using them anymore for me.

Signed up for premium and got a Closed beta key instead of an open beta key. Dont sign up as its a bait ad to just get money off you.

Your closed beta key should continue to work in Open Beta. There are posts that say this on the official Cryptic website, and it'd be silly to lock your closed beta players out of open beta.

You do know what the difference between open beta and closed beta is right?

Open = anyone can get in

Closed = restricted by some way(this being limited number given to sites to give away as they see fit)

so in conclusion.....

comment = fail
