Invader Crest Improvements Hotfix is Now Live

The Warhammer Online announced today that the invader crest improvements hotfix is now live. According to a detailed post on Friday, "As a result of player feedback regarding the recent token cost adjustments to the Invader armor set, we will be making the follow adjustments: Existing Invader Crests will be replaced with an item that can convert into TWO normal Invader Crests."

According to the post, the Invader armor set will continue to be a tough set to earn and could take weeks or months to complete. That being said, Invader should be a much more obtainable goal in 1.2.1.

It is important to note that Invader armor is the primary reward for successfully breaking into and flipping a capital city into a captured state. We will always want the majority of players to earn these rewards by participating in this content. As we move forward, we will continue to work with our players to find better ways to ensure that access to this level of content is more reliable, even on underpopulated servers or underdog realms.

In addition, players will still have alternative opportunities to finish the set, but these will always take significantly more time and effort when you do not participate in city content. As such, we have no plans moving forward to adjust the prices back down from their current levels, or increase the drop rate off players outside of the capital city areas.

As always, we walk a very fine line with how accessible some of the best gear in the game should be. In cases like Annihilator and Conqueror, we expect most players to be able to achieve these sets in a very reasonable amount of time. However, when you start getting into the higher end sets (Darkpromise, Invader, Warlord, and Sovereign), the speed at which we want to hand out these items decreases dramatically, because we want these items to be rewards for completing difficult or challenging accomplishments.

Invader will continue to be a tough set to earn; one that will potentially take weeks or months to finish. Just like Darkpromise armor takes numerous runs of a dungeon over the course of weeks to complete. However, players should find that in 1.2.1 (even with adjusted costs), Invader is a much more obtainable goal than it was in 1.2 and earlier versions of the game. If we continue to see Darkpromise armor entering the world at a significantly faster pace when compared to Invader, we will make further adjustments to ensure Invader armor stays as accessible.

We will not be adjusting Crest costs for Warlord or Sovereign armor set pieces at this time.
