The Champions Online team rang in the New Year in style by creating a special video for fans. They counted down the start of 2009 in Millennium City, Monster Island and Force Station Steelhead.

You can watch the video here. While some posters on the official forum were surprised the event went smoothly without the interruption of a villainous attack, Christian Cannon does say in his opening report that "crime seems to have taken a holiday as we prepare to usher in the New Year."

Just to make it clear, the video doesn't contain any new gameplay footage. It's just a fun way to "have a heroic New Year."
