I'm not going to ruin the story. I will tell you this - The first 20 levels are done within a very elaborate starting area that consists of multiplayer and solo areas and elements. For this short part of the game, all quests are done w/ acted speech. The acting is somewhat good.

The acting, cutscenes and great writing wove themselves into what I have to say is the best MMORPG introduction I have ever experienced. When I finally reached the end-boss at L19, I was really, really excited to face him! For a short second, I felt like the savior of Tortage!

Keep in mind that, similar to WoW, AoC is based on existing lore. There are a lot of well written stories woven into every quest and every character that you'll encounter in your adventures.
