Hammerfel posted on the official forums what is planned for the first EQOA patch to be made on March 2nd. The list is tentative, but here it is:

An auto-follow function. This will let you select a group member to automatically follow. This will help groups stay together and stragglers not to get lost. Most often, players will select the group leader, activate auto-follow and let the leader steer the whole group to the next challenge.

A confirmation for the 'Return Home' ability. Ever accidentally hit your 'Return to Home' ability and inadvertently abandon your group in the heat of battle? Well, I have, and it's embarrassing. This will be some type of confirmation box to make sure you really want to return to your bind point.

Much longer range on targeting group members, to make it easier to find them. This will allow you to target group members, and see the targeting reticule on them from much greater distances. Then you just head in the direction of the targeting reticule and you'll be reunited in no time.

Group members showing up on your compass. This will place a small dot, arrow or other kind of indicator (I haven't seen it yet) on your compass that tells you the direction to your groupmates.
