Gamespy Interview

GameSpy has posted another interview about the Future of PC Gaming. This time, they interviewed Chris Taylor. Here is the intro GameSpy gave about Taylor...
Chris Taylor is known for pushing the envelope. From his days at Cavedog developing the ground-breaking, pseudo-3D RTS Total Annihilation to his current gig at Gas Powered Games and the wonder of the true-3D, no-load-screens RPG that was Dungeon Siege, Taylor has strived to get every ounce of game play, fun and advanced technology that is available at the time. Where will it go from here? We asked Taylor to take a trip with us into that future. Of course, like most visionaries, he was already a few steps ahead of us.

lol,

still this old pos post about the future of games? ohhh ahh. man that has been done to death when ppl are too lazy to find anything new. truth is the future of games has been slowed down as much as possible. instead of providing real power, companies are coming up with gay names for their new technologies (hyper z threading is the worst one yet). these are all software solutions cover a lack of raw hardware problems, and need game designers to write code for them. but, by the time there is any code for it ,the card is obsolete.

just notice how much intel and nvidia are dragging their feet w new stuff. we should have a p5 by now, w a lot bigger cache, and at least a spohisticated command set.

graphics cards are even worse. these companies are anti-competative. it has taken years to get more memory on video cards, but even that wouldn't help because there are so many other bottlenecks in the design. and evrytime a company spends a few thousand bucks r an d to fix one of these bottlenecks they make up tons of hype an try an use it to sell yet another 600 video card.

this is boooo-shiiiit. video cards used to cost 15-20 bucks. and this was during a time when the cost of manufacturing pc equipment was higher because it was a new thing. why they have gone up serveral thousand percent, when other components stayed they sae or had to lower prices is just hype.

this kind of crap is not news, but a commercial. gamespy is a scammer site, that actually charges people to pay for the privelidge fo downloading free game demos. guess allakazam is too busy spending the money from this site to bother posting any relevant news.

oh, and the golden rule for buying hyped up, over priced pc equipment? just wait a few weeks, and see if its really all that good, read real forums, not crap like this written by corporate lackeys. and dont worry what you want to buy will never go up in price while u wait ;)
