Take your shot at Goldfish Scooping!

With Summerfest kicking into high gear across various lands, it appears that the merchants have been getting into the festive spirit as well, offering various new items. Those familiar with the customs of different lands say that the equipment the merchants sell may be of an Eastern origin. Curiously, the goods closely resemble the items used in an event known as Goldfish Scooping. Goldfish Scooping is a traditional game often played during the summer months. People use fragile "scoops" to skim the water in order to catch as many brilliantly colored goldfish as they can--before the paper on the scoops rips. Trading goldfish to a merchant will earn you points based on the type of fish you catch. These points can be exchanged for a plethora of exciting Summerfest items. So if you hear one of these peddlers, you know what to do! Go and give Goldfish Scooping a try! Who knows, you might just get hooked! The NPCs will be at: West Ronfaure G-10 South Gustaberg E-8 East Sarutabaruta H-8 Rabao F-7 -About reopening the "Test of Courage" event The Test of Courage event was brought to a close as the Goldfish Scooping event opened. However, due to the popularity of the event, we have decided to reopen it, and have the event run until the end of Summerfest. Take your best shot at both events, and above all, have fun! We apologize for the delay in announcing the end of the previous Test of Courage event, and any inconvenience we may have caused.

So, after much goldfish scooping, I figured out the following (Which isn't too tough to figure out, but some people might want the info before diving into the sport):

Tiny Goldfish are worth 1 point (years of blessing)
Black bobble-eye are worth 2 points (years)
Lion(something... I forget the name) is worth 10 points (years). These guys are pretty rare, though.

The Super Scoops cost 100 gil a piece, and they last quite a while, unless you get unlucky. (it seems pretty random if they will break.) Also, the fishbowl is a Rare/Ex item that you get for free from the person you need to talk to in order to get the other items.

I hope this info helps someone, at least.

Well, I'm a bit curious as to whether the 'join the ranks of the undead' might actually help, say, walking through Gustav tunnel unmolested...
