Major Content Update Adds PvE to Freaky Creatures

Abandon Interactive Entertainment announced today that the largest content update to date has been added to Freaky Creatures. The Freaky Adventures update adds PvE content to the game for the first time, which allows players to leave their lairs and battle arenas to explore new areas.

Freaky Adventures includes the addition of a new world map that gives players access to more than 40 missions, as well as a mission log to help players keep track of their progress. Of course, gamers can expect to face new enemies and characters as they level up their creatures and gain access to new parts, powers and lair objects. The full announcement can be found after the jump.

Two Games Added to Freaky Creatures Universe

Abandon Interactive Entertainment has added two new games to the Freaky Creatures universe. The first is called the Creature Comfort Game and lets trainers look into the heads of their creatures to see what's on their minds. Players will have to obtain items desired by their creatures before a timer runs out to earn rewards. You can play three rounds in the free version of Freaky Creatures or six rounds in the premium version.

Freaky Pipes, a puzzle mini-game, has also been added to the game's Web site. You need to arrange sections of pipe to fill vats with green matter and create creature parts. Once you make three parts, you can build a creature and advance in the mini-game.

The full press release regarding both games can be found after the jump.

Monsters Come Alive in Freaky Creatures Release

Abandon Interactive Entertainment has announced the release of Freaky Creatures, an MMO that combines online gaming with collectible figures as you build your own monsters and send them to battle. To begin your foray into the world of creature creation, you need to buy a starter pack, which contains two action figures and a 1 GB flash drive. Each pack also contains 50 parts and 20 powers for your monsters, as well as four objects for your creature's lair.

The game is available on PC, Mac and mobile, and Abandon has emphasized social networking as players can create home pages, play mini-games, join tournaments, read comics, trade items, and so on. According to a press release, there are 3.2 billion combinations of creatures that can currently be built.

Abandon has teamed up with the Starlight Children's Foundation for the launch, and a portion of the starter pack sales will be donated to the organization. The foundation gives terminally ill children and their families the chance to participate in activities in a friendly, accepting environment. More information on the launch can be found in the press release below or on the game's official Web site.
