Normal Fight Encounter

Rictus is a fairly straight-forward fight. Ranged DPS, ranged support and heals should remain at max range. Healers should be aware of an AoE ability which strikes the tank and everyone within 20 yards.

Occasionally during the encounter, Rictus casts an ability which grips all party members and brings them into melee range. Ranged and heals should quickly move back to their original position, as Rictus does his AoE ability immediately after each grip. Each time he casts this ability, he will do one more grip in succession than before, so it’s important that DPS focus him down quickly.

Expert Fight Encounter

Abilities Ground Pound: Self buff for temporary amount of time, causes all attacks to do melee damage. Roughly 1.5-2k damage each hit for several attacks.

Rotting Flesh: AoE ground target attack dealing 1.5-2k damage. Targets random non-tank target. Two of these will be up at same time during fight. Disappears shortly after third appears.

Single Pull: Pulls a random non-tank target to him.

Group Pull: Pulls all non-tank targets to him. Immediately followed by Ground Pound.

Death Blow(?): Single target close range debuff applied to random non-tank target. Greatly reduces movement speed.

Single Target Knockback: Knocks a single random target in melee range back. Can target tank.

Strategy Ranged DPS is preferred. Melee DPS can still do this fight, they must be aware of Death Blow and Ground Pound.

Tank must put back to wall or similar object to prevent being knocked back out of line of sight.

Ranged/healers must stand in places where they will not be pulled up to the boss when he targets them to pull them in. Suggested areas: behind benches, behind platform edges, behind certain sides of trees, etc. Three areas must be chosen to move between ahead of time to ensure smooth transition.
