On July 4th, an online gamer named Narnar was physically assaulted in real life by a fellow gamer over a conflict that took place in the online role playing game Dark Age of Camelot. Narnar is a member of the online gaming guild DarkWolves (a href="www.darkwolves.org">www.darkwolves.com), reputed for "griefing" other players by attacking their characters, stealing items and equipment, etc. Apparently Narnar pushed one gamer, Vaprak, too far. A friend of Vaprak's who knew Narnar in real life invited Narnar over to his house under the pretense of taking some pictures of Narnar in a Batman suit for their website. When Narnar arrived, Vaprak attacked him with a wooden pole. Narnar fled, and broke his ankle while trying to escape by jumping off of a deck. Vaprak continued to physically and verbally assault Narnar for some time afterwords until Narnar was able to get back into his car and get away. Vaprak's friend was taking pictures the whole time and they later edited the photos and posted them on the internet. Narnar plans to file criminal and civil charges over the assault.
