Chains of Promathia Battlefield Adjustments

In response to many player requests, we are planning to adjust the difficulty of the Chains of Promathia missions in the upcoming version update, as well as introduce a new experience point reward upon the completion of a mission battlefield.

Adjustments to Difficulty

Particularly challenging Chains of Promathia battlefields, such as those that appear in the Promyvion areas (Holla, Dem, Mea, Vahzl), and the missions "Flames for the Dead" and "The Warrior's Path", will have their difficulty level toned down. These adjustments will include changes to monster level and placement.
We also hope that the following changes to items used specifically against Chains of Promathia enemies will encourage players to brave the dangers found in the mission battlefields.

-Rare/Ex Properties
The special items introduced for use against enemies found within the Chains of Promathia battlefields will have their "Ex" properties removed, allowing these items, such as psychoanima and mistmelt, to be put up for auction. Certain items will also have the "Rare" property removed, allowing players to carry multiples of the same item.

Experience Point Rewards

After changes made in the March 8 version update, players no longer lose experience when being KO'd within a Chains of Promathia mission battlefield. In the upcoming version update, players will also be rewarded with experience points (or limit points) upon the successful completion of a battlefield. The experience point reward will be slightly less than the amount received for ENM quests, but it will be possible for players to obtain this new reward once every Earth day.
These changes will provide a tangible benefit for those who have completed a Chains of Promathia battlefield and wish to aid other players with their first attempts.

Too many whiners haha. I did the missions as well before any nerfs and all I can say is that I'm happy. This does it make it easier for people who don't spend 6 hours a day on the game - or 25+ hours a week. This makes it easier to get friends through missions as well. So just be proud and move on ^^

I found this under another forum here on Alla, and I think it is very appropriate for this topic at hand. The next time you guys feel like complaining about somthing, remember back to when the Original game was out, before RoZ/ZM was out... You think you've got it bad now... SE has done everything for this game, to accomidate for the people who do nothing but complain. They do what they think is needed for the game, to keep it going, and to keep us paying month after month. IF they want to lower the difficulty level of CoP, let them.. because someone mentioned it early- CoP has been completed for over a year now with SE, and it's time to move forwards with ToAU and WoAG that will be coming out this winter. Read Below, you'll find it most enjoyable.

E-peens

I do agree that the Promys were way too difficult for a pickup party to do unless everyone had the materials/jobs required for success. The only way to finish CoP efficiently was to pick up a static of well-rounded players. There's no reason why it should be that difficult to finish.

That's what threw people away from it in the first place was the amount of time you completely ate up while doing the missions, only to fail because someone busted a macro. And I know you're going to say, "Just don't go with gimps" but I don't play the game to measure e-peens.

You people who complain forget that you still have to have an endgame LS to do the mobs in sea or to even finish off Bahamut. That's what you should be stroking: your Ethereal Earrings not the fact that more people will be in sea like it's some red roped area that only people with 1337 hardcore skills should ever get to see. I paid $19 for CoP and I thought of it as a complete waste while I was stuck on Promy-Vahzl with absolutely no one wanting to help or anyone on the same mission.

I want everyone to experience Al'Taieu, hell I know people who still haven't seen the Safehold. And the reason a lot of people can't is because of the required commitment that you must have unless you have a burn setup. Runs taking 2-4 hours to complete is just ridiculous, especially if people just don't have that kind of time.

I worked and earned it every time my hands went numb with mobs at 1 percent and going OMG come on something hit it and Ejected /crap (if that was a real emote). You make me laugh. Did I say it was easy? Oh hell no. 9 months and I led each of my parties to victory. I played it for the story and loved it. If you get offended at my previous post it is not my fault. For it is the fool who takes offense when none is meant.

Concerning MR's yeah while it may sound as though I just blasted up the promyvions far from the contrary it was simply to prove it could be done and that last MR died very very very very slowly but it died. WHM as DD completely possible but it doesnt neglect him doing his share of healing. He has to focus on Keeping shadows up AND using hexa strike as much as he can. With proper gear thats insanly potent melee damage. Its all about the gear setup. RDM/WHM main healing WITH WHM/NIN DD ing. and yeah I had more than my fair share of ejections from time outs.

I was completly miffed at first reading that they were lowering the difficulties however after giving it some thought. It would be nice to give some of my friends a better oppurtunity to get to sea.

I never leeched a fight and If I was RMT I wouldnt bother posting that was a blow that was a cheapshot sent out in anger.

As far as rescheduling my days to get these done. Our Tank Lives in Korea and works full time. I live in the US and work full time. There were many nights I would zzz for 3 hours get up get our mission ran or w/e in 3 hours and zzz for a couple more hours get up and go to work. It only works with it being planned out and everyone prepared. Thank goodness to forums for my linkshell. Many nights we would have to cancel a run b/c someone wasnt prepared and it was usualy 1 person. BUT instead of canceling anytihng we went farming for items. XP'd for the xp we were gonna lose or do w/e together. Its ez. Have gear, farming, and CS ready login or be at certain spot at (such and such hour). 9 months. We planned farming missions. CS missions. Dry run missions. In short this was the most planned event I have ever done in my life. Fights were planned down line by line who does what and when. Is it tedious? oh hell yeah. Did we argue allot? you better believe it. Did we do it? Best moment in my life and sadest was reading diabolos defeats promathia. Best because we won sad because it was over.

Plan, prepare, and show up prepared. Dont give up. Listen to everyone's ideas, change the strat. Lose - reformat the plan - and show up next scheduled time. Too many people lose a couple times and just give up. Too many people are afriad to take a chance on a completely wierd setup and miss out on the win. Too many people think they know everything there is to know and get offended too easily.

I agree with a later post I believed like many this would cheapen our accomplishment but I still have my memories and more importantly my friends. And that is the greatest thing I got from completing hte Pm's are my friends who I trust explicitly with my xp, gil, gear, items, and time. To Audeas and Mokatu You have my friendship forever. My best memories are with you two.

Oklmoto and Luckycharmz I hope this gives you a better chance to get to sea. We started this adventure called Final Fantasy XI together. I wish our schedules would let us play together more often.

And thats all I have to say concerning this issue.
It's not too bad an update...

Okay, I've already completed COP. I loved the storyline and CS. I think it was a tad on the hard side. U/O and Snoll were really the bane of my existance. They seemed to have a little more to do with luck than with skill, IMO. All the others are a matter of skill and/or proper party setup.

One thing I do like is the little XP bonus. I know we don't lose XP anymore in the battlefields, but it's nice to get a little reward on it. Although I enjoy the fights for the fight, XP reward is just bonus.

While i dont fully believe you solo-d MR's, thats not the point. In anycase, Brilliant message, you took the words straight out my mouth :P

Wow, I could've shown you that as well! It's easier to solo navigate your way to the top. But soloing the receptors for the little tele's is something I'd like to see happen especially with a 30 Smn/Nin. Seriously I'd like to get some popcorn, and kick back and enjoy the show. It'd take quite awhile to solo those things with /Nin, but you'd have to /Nin. And you'd have to have nearly all the Goobie Bags done, in order to bring the supplies you need to solo your way up. Because you'll be contending with the mobs that spawn rather fast around them as well, so you'd need alot of supplies if you're soloing. Even if you are a Taru Smn, MP only goes so far.......

Receptacles are actually really easy unless you get unlucky and find the one that melees((yes they exist)). They are the only mobs that don't go up in difficulty other than spitting out a few more Strays faster. The only ones I can't solo without using Hundred Fists is the third floor ones, but hey, that's why SE gave us NPCs. I can duo with my NPC all the way to the top, hell, I've duoed all my maps with just my NPC.

---------------------

I'm gonna be honest, I really don't care that there are some people who think they are better than everyone else just because they've beaten it before it was hard. I've known people who've had to work hard for their missions, that's true, but I've also known people who've had missions handed to them just because someone likes them better than others. I've seen people who have worked their asses off just as hard as the ones mentioned before, only to have all their preperation get shot to **** because of a fight that is based almost entirely on luck.

I'm a MNK, so that makes me good for Snoll right? Sure I can spout off a nice opening 400-600 DMG Chi Blast and then hit hundred fists. Know what I can't do? Survive three hits.

kk, well I talked to a few friends off FFXI and friends irl that play XI.

Everyone thinks thats the Boss mobs of promies will NOT be nerfed.. There is no news of SE nerfing the BCNM mobs.. Only News that SE has pronounced is that, they will move some of the "Empty" mobs, and lower the level some of the higher up "Empty" mobs that have the tendancy to really rape a party, if the party is not really aren't careful.. Like on Promy-Holla there is a area, where its nearly impossible to pass on the 3rd floor, when the "Empties" are scouring the areas.. most parties have had to sit there and wait, and you know the old saying goes, almost no one has patience anymore for waiting.

I jumped the Gun, and say why bother decreasing the Difficulty, when I heard from a few LS mates they plan to just up and quit XI, cause they cant seem to get past Promy, for numberous reasons, most of the time. Cause there wouldn't be enough ppl to help them (I.E Shouting in Jeuno for a RNG or a WHM). Since most ppl tend to kind of say "Forget Promies" Once they completed it.

Promy: Dem, Mea I found were a bit easy specially for navigating thru the horde of murderous "Empties", Tho Holla was a exception, cause navigating thru the areas, can be a real pain in the @$$..

So I retract my statement, of why bother editing the Difficulty of Promy: Dem, Holla and Mea, It will give the Players that haven't had a chance to complete Promy a better chance to complete it, LOL just wait till they hit 2.3 then the real fun will begin *evil laugh*

If your sea doesn't already have rmt, then they just aren't commited/skilled enough. Kujata has rmt in sea, and whitegate rings to the /sh of novia/novio earring (do you need it) 24/7.

Let's face it, if they aren't commited/skilled enough to get through the missions as they are presently, what makes you think they're going to be able to take down sea gods?

Wait, how about if Squeenix make the sea gods easier! Someone might actually be able to take down AV! Oh no RMT WILL GET TO KILL AV! Hang on, haven't you all been crying out for sea gods to be made easier? Let me get this straight, nerfing gods good (WTF wants a challenge? I want my leet drops), nerfing missions bad (If you're not good enough to rise to the challenge you shouldn't be allowed in sea in the first place).

Yeah, I'll admit I'm a little disappointed squeenix are adjusting the difficulty of certain missions. I've had a challengingly brisk walk in the park to get to 4-3... Apart from the fact that it's taken me 18 months to get there from promy's because finding the last 2 players to go with my static via /sh is a f**king joke. And I don't want it to become like ZM missions where I did it all in 2 days half asleep with boredom. But who knows? Perhaps the nerf won't be as bad as everyone automatically assumes and the missions will still be pleasantly challenging without being an absolute nightmare to those less gifted at playing outside the xp pt box.

Why are people complaining that their memories and their hard work are going to be erased?

Do you recall your CoP missions and what a hassle it was to do it? Do you remember how many times you've died getting to a battlefield, then dying during it? Of course you do and you will always remember those hardships. Making something easier AFTER the fact holds no barring on your memories. You recall the blood, sweat and tears you've shed to accomplish what you have and that's all that matters.

Most of the people complaining all share the same problem; e-peen envy. As of right now, having SEA means you have dedicated a good portion of your life to obtaining something. They want *others* to know this, it isn't good enough for them that they actually accomplished it, but they feel the need to gloat; hence the "yeah well I did it when it was hard i PWN you".

Our memories are not diminished by events that take place after the fact. We will always recall the hardships we endeavored with friends to accomplish something, and that is all that matters.
And so on and so forth

So yeah...blah blah everyone's upset that Promy's are being made easier. All the people that are mad about it have already done them. Most people think SE is doing it because they think the Promy's are hard...It's probably more of an incentive to actually get people to do them than it is to make it easier. Their main focus is to get more people to help the players that haven't done them yet. I've won Holla and while it wasn't that difficult I still wouldn't want to do that crap again. Now I have a little more of a will to help with it. It seems that no one ever likes to help anyone anymore (unless they ARE RMT or part of some Elitist NM/SKY/SEA LS, but then they have no choice at that point do they). Another thing I like is the fact that maybe you can get through this stuff faster. I've been playing this game a while and as I get older I realize that things take way too long to accomplish in this game (I work about 43 hours a week and dont have time to sit here and play this game for 5 hours just to maybe get a chance to fail and do it again the next night, unless I don't want a real life), at least on the classic non-MMO versions of FF you can save your game and start right where you left off. Now with the incentive statement made...with the upcoming release of a new expansion there will be a lot of people in the near future that will not want to waste their time on "noobs" and Promy's...that's why I feel SE is doing this...so people don't stray too far from the older parts of the FFXI world whilst exploring the new.

Hahaha I also read the following quote in an earlier post and thought it was very accurate.

Here's the thing, I just finished cop and am going to try to get TOAU going.
There are alot of people that the story matters to. Many may feel like they being left behind. Some may not even attempt to buy the new expansion if they don't even have COP finished.

I know peeps that have been stuck on A01, Ouryu, and Three Paths for nearly a year.

With the key items being made un ex and some not even rare anymore players can do a little less planning and will make melee more viable on say Ouryu, for example.

Dynamis is what should be fixed /cry. I remembered a time when I thought that I'd get to 75 without getting all my af. Well with relic, I'm starting to wonder. Relic DORP fix. Can I have it?

You sissies. I can't believe you're going to harbor hatred for the folks that get through the Promies and still have some hair left on their heads. I have finished Dem, but Holla and Mea have proven so difficult that my parties have wiped several times, and they are still incomplete.

To hear you all ***** about SE making certain things easier just makes my stomach turn. Not everyone in Vanadiel is in end-game yet. I work full time and cannot dedicate the kind of time it takes to get the noteriety to walk around Kuftal Tunnel saying things like "MNK noob gtfo" while I'm Hundred Fisting some **** with a Kraken Club. Go back to sucking e-peen in your HNMLS. I play for fun, stupid.

I'm gonna have a grin from ear to ear as I'm slaughtering the Empty Bosses, and taking satisfaction in the fact that I've waited this long to finish Promies because I knew that **** was way too hard to begin with.

See you at the Promies!

What's funny is the Promies are easy as hell anyways!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sure there's suspense when you fight the bosses, but to say they are hard? Is just ridiculious!

The reason your parties wipe in the Promies, is because your party members are dumb and don't want to complete them. And no amount of toning these bosses down is gonna fix your parties that wiped before this update will take place! It's just not gonna help you!!! AT ALL!!....."the Promies are hard..." LOL!!

The only thing about the Promies, is that even if you manage to get your party going and are set to go and get everyone down to the Promy...is that it takes at least an Hour and a Half to complete.

But I'm sorry you won't be grinning at all after the update, because the Promies weren't hard to begin with. And your parties will fail, and so will you. And I'm just being honest, so don't take it the wrong way. But go do Mea again til you win, then you'll understand where you are going wrong with your parties and your battle strategy, and you'll understand why I say they are easy after your finally win Mea. And do it before the update takes place.
Why?

OMG, WHY.. >.> I beat the Promies fairly easily.. Pretty sad that they had to lower the difficulty for Promies >.>, I kind of like the idea of no losing exp in Mission Areas like when your doing CoP 2.5, Cause if you level down in that area its a real pain getting it back..

I dont know why SE had to lower the difficulty of the Promies Dem, Holla and Mea.. You just need a smart leader and a group that wont panic and run round with their heads cut off if they sense aggro <personal experience>.. Sure Promy-Holla can be quite frustrating, cause of the mob placement. Tho you can easily just wait for the mob to move on its own way..

What next 5x the exp for ppl lv60~75? Cause it takes to long to get the exp?!..

I feel the pain of the ppl lv75, before the exp needed was cut down..

Then now the ppl that completed Promy Dem, Holla and Mea successfully, pretty much "braved" the mobs in Promies and passed it.. will be pretty much cut short cause they have to hear from ppl that couldn't form a proper party that Promies was to easy...

Sorry bout my Rant, just my 2 gil not that it really matters.

The promies were easy, and don't need to be changed 1 bit. The exp loss though might have been nice. I didn't need a Alliance to get through to the top in any of em. And I don't know why you would need one, we just let the idiot ppl who aggroed mobs in those places to just die. If they wanted to be idiots, we just figured we'd let them find out the hard way to listen and stop being stupid. And I've never had a Rng in my pt when we went to go do this Promies, so we always had lots of fun on the upper levels trying to navigate through without dieing.

To Dakpluto >.>: (it wouldn't let me post a reply to you, cuz my internet is being incredibly slow today) But here goes....

I have to apologize to you for being a "Slow" player! I'm so sorry, I don't live off of mommy and daddy or live off of someone else! I'm so very sorry I have to support myself, therefore I have limited access to gameplay everyday! I'm so very, very sorry I can't spend 24/7 playing this game because I have these annoyingly bad habits of needing to eat and a place to live, and am forced to work in order to be able to support those bad habits! I am so very, very, very sorry I am forced to solo 95% of the time except for my days off, because I only get a max of 3-4 hours a day of gameplay, do to having to support myself(I know!...supporting yourself and having somewhat of a RL, is SOOO lame. I mean, could I get anymore uncool?! And 6-7 hours of sleep inbetween my job, college and this game everynight is something that I need to work on! I mean I shouldn't sleep at all so I can keep up with those of you that don't have to work, and don't have to support yourselves! I'm so weak-willed, I'm sorry I need to sleep!). I am so very, very, very, very sorry that ppl on the game that can help me with CoP missions are hardly on when I am, forcing me to only get to do CoP missions once and awhile. I sincerely apologize!

Dude, I'm so sorry I can't be uber-LEET, just like you!! I'll try my hardest to better myself to your standards!!!! I promise!!! I won't go to bed at all from this point on til I hit 75, I only have 11 1/2 levels left to go on my main, and 23 on my second highest job! So I'll get there on both before the next time I sleep, and I'll make sure that I get Sea and Sky access before I finally lay my head down to dream! OK? OK^^..........

Oh, and almost forgot: I'm so very, very, very, very, very sorry that......

You are a f****n moron! Get over yourself punk! Some of us only have so much time every week to play this game. Even the Promies at Warp speed took an hour and a half/per to get done. So don't ***** about us ppl that are "Slow" by your standards because we can't be as dependent on other ppl(like you obviously are, I see your 3 75's, and am not impressed after your comment by them). You are most likely a Gil Buyer who is mad that you spent someone else's hard-earned money on gil for these missions. And now that they are gonna knock em down a peg, you're pissed cuz us "Slow" players who refuse to buy gil either because a). We can't afford to. $13/month for PoL, and an additional $5/month for XBoxlive is alot per year to fork over for just a game! b). We hate RMT's and anyone who has bought gil, because we have worked hard farming our asses off to be able to afford even just a few nice pieces of equip for our characters., are going to have a slightly easier time with CoP missions.

I suggest you read it again, they aren't going to make these missions soloable. So get over yourself.

But to the ppl who have completed these and are pissed?!(valid reasons only!, anyone like Dakpluto can kiss my a**!) I have to agree with you, I don't need to have them modified. I would like to be able to enjoy the same difficulty as everyone else that came before me did. So when I get asked about them I can actually relate, and have a sense of accomplishment about them. Because after all, I have been playing this game for the past year and I'm still going strong long after 90% of my friendlist has stopped playing. The only thing I agree with, with what they are doing is the exp thing in the promies.

But to everyone ******** about RMT's?! Meh, it's been covered before..........it's like beating a dead horse, it doesn't help, it stinks and no matter how much you try to clean it up?! The smell and some remnents of it are still there. No matter what you do. >.>

Wanna know who the fvcking pussies are? The people who already have it done and are ******** and moaning that someone else is going to have an easier time of it.

It was already easy enough for your spoonfed ***, so what the hell do you have to complain about? Quit ******** and find some value in what you've accomplished, rather than measuring it against what others have yet to achieve. The man who measures his worth by what others lack doesn't really have any worth at all in his own eyes.

So What

Well, all I have to say is that after busting my rear end for about 5 months I finished CoP only last week. It was extremely difficult, and I really enjoyed the challenge. Then I find out this update is hitting, and I'm extremely relieved that I finished it before the update hit. I'm proud that I beat the challenges SE put up for me. Personally, if I hadn't just wrapped up my last set of CS's, I'd be hauling to get to the end before they nerfed it and took away the real challenge. I feel bad for those of you who haven't finished it yet.

As for everyone complaining about it, from SE's standpoint CoP has been totally complete for well over a year now. It's not like people who wanted to do it the hard way didn't have the opportunity. Now they are making it easier for the casual players. Props to SE. Will Sea now have a bunch of noobs in it? Yes. Will RMT have access to sea? Yes. Does this change the difficulty of anything in Sea? No. The only thing that this really does is make sea more crowded than it currently is, and you know what's funny? People complain that Sky is too crowded, but on my server it's still a pretty barren place. I see maybe 3-4 linkshells up there at a time, and the same goes for Sea. Getting to sea access doesn't suddenly make sea this easy place to go farm stuff. It's still quite the challenge, and as long as SE doesn't nerf that I am happy.

Here's my honest opinion.

No EXP Penalty in CoP: Good thing
Nerfing Snoll Tzar: Good thing (That BCNM was practically entirely luck based)
Nerfing Airship fight: Good thing-kinda (Granted, I wanted to fight Ultima/Omega in their prime, but then again, something can be too hard. In this case, Airship was too hard to a rediculous extent from what I have heard.)
More Frequent Sea God Drop Rates: Good thing (It's a huge waste of time putting forth the effort to pop Sea Gods if they don't only have a 50% chance of dropping "Next Tier God" items, a thin chance of a situational Torque, or a Cape (Very nice items, at that. Thank you, SE.)

The rest of it, we can do without.

Nerfing other missions: Promies and Tenzen are not hard! Promies, you just get a SMN or two and you're good to go. Promy Vazhl was a cake walk even without SMN. Tenzen, well. Slightly luck based, but nothing like Snoll Tzar.
EXP Rewards: I suppose this is kind of a good thing, but highly unnessesary. This is kinda what ENMs are for too. Or, what do you call those old-fashioned things that people used to do for EXP... Oh yeah! [Experience Points] [Party]? [Do you need it?]

Now, I'm not some elitist and think that anyone who doesn't have a Maat's Cap should be lol'ed @ for even thinking about Sea, but to be quite honest, Sea is a reward. It's not like Sky where you get with your static for a couple hours then bam, Tu'Lia [Found it!]. You need to put forth some effort, skill, time, and have a good static/LS to help you with it. Now SE is opening it not only to the half-hearted, but also to GS! They are already in Sky. Do you think they'll at all hesitate to sell those Sea God pop items? Or worse, pop the Sea Gods themselves, then make a pretty penny off of JoL? I saw a Novia Earring in someone's bazaar the other day for 30m and I promptly concluded that it was a GS. Nobody in their right mind would sell one of those.

difficulty is different for each player

right now, the majority of FFXI's playerbase says it's too difficult and that's why SE is toning it down for "some" missions, not "all"

kudos to you if you beat it already

good news to you if you haven't

some of us have the luxury of having statics, some of us don't

some of us have "very" limited playtimes, some of us don't

some of us are "uber", some are "good", some are "ok", some are "not so good" in playing this game.

Difficulty is subjective

when SE made the decision of this update, they factored in all those examples. They just don't wake up one morning and say "hmm... I think we'll make CoP easier today"

that's all...

my 2 cents

I need to say that I have finished CoP ZM and all the quest that lead up to the ethreal earring. I for one am in awe to beable the compleate this task. It not only rewarding in the earring, more so of being abale to go on to the next mission/quest. When we won Storms of fate, I had tears of joy in my eyes.

I'm sure SE will do everything they can, not to take that away from the people that still needs to over come this goal. The challenge is the most exciting part of this game, because, you need help from friends, LS, statics, etc. to reach this goal.

As far as RMTs go, I hate them with a passion. I played this game since it came to the US. I think SE has done a fair/good job of controlling this. But I think SE should give us more authority of exposing RMTs and 3rd. party tools.

PLD Mozhat: Protector of the people.
Ok this is annoying

Every recent post since toau was released, I hear the same thing "This game is becoming a huge tp burn." Know this that before TOAU came out if you were not WHM, BLM, RDM, PLD, NIN, or SMN, you were not 1) getting in ANY hnmls at least until you were 75 2) you were not getting any invite into an exp party. Manaburn players are reaping what they sown, and theyre butt-hurt. Remember it was us tp players that it took a year to level a melee job to 75 and all the classes mentioned above took them 1-2 months. I dont want to hear the garbage talk about tp burn, some of us suffered for 4 years while the manaburn parties prospered, SE just added balance to that. I commend them for it.

I don't really understand adjusting difficulty on Promy's at all. It doesn't neccesarily make me angry, just makes me wonder how good the stuff SE is smoking is. Other missions it makes sense, say Trackers or Snoll...but really, Promy's? The only problem I've ever seen in shouts etc. is getting people to go...never saw anyone go: "Man Promyvion was so hard, I'm like 0/50 on Dem!".

No complaints here...but really, I question SE and the time they spend now deciding on updates. Are they going to adjust the Rank 3 dragon next to make it killable in one hit?
tell SE how you feel about it

Here is a link if anyone wants to tell SE what they think.

[link=null][/link]https://secure.playonline.com/supportus/index.html

I have to say I am dissapointed that SE is making this easier. While I think the exp loss and bonuses are a good idea, the whole reason CoP was my favourite part of the game was the difficulty of it. The sheer intensity of the fights left me shaking afterwards.
IMO sea SHOULD be an area that only competent players can get to, imagine a bunch of noobs trying on Proto-Ultima for example.
Then there is the always present RMT side of it, sky is a joke now because of them being there, sea is still relatively free of them, lets keep it like that.
lmao

I think its funny that ppl that beat CoP are complaining about how SE is making it a cakewalk and that this update will open up the floodgates for RMT... if you had helped the ppl that had asked for help with prommies and such instead of the "been there, done that" mentality which translates into "that was so friggin hard that I'll never do it again" SE may not have decided to do it, since this update is more for the person that has already completed it... Hmm... It reminds me of the ppl that complain about how ppl are still noobs at lvl 50... ever think it was because you PLed them to 40?
#REDACTED, Posted: May 19 2007 at 8:20 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Well.... I BEEN THERE DONE THAT, and i don't FEEL like spending over a MIL on meds to go DO IT again. My CoP static used Erecia's CoP Guide, did research, we knew EXACTLY what to do b4 we did it. I'm so tired of people like YOU ******** that people like US won't help YOU beat CoP. Make your OWN static, do research, and beat it yourself. Hell cept for 6-4 none of it's that hard.
