Valentione Wishes & Bubble Chocolate Dreams

It's here again! It's here again! The day we've all been waiting for is finally here...again, kupo!
What day is that, you ask? Why, Valentione's Day, of course! The moogles down at the MHMU have been working overtime to make this year's festivities at least as entrancing, if not more, than last year's, kupo! We have a heartwarming event all prepared to bring together desperate singles in an explosion of hot-pink affection, but it seems a lot of them are inflicted with a case of cold feet. I guess we're going to need your help on this one, adventurers!

*Valentione's Day festivities are scheduled for February 1 to February 15.

A long time ago, in a kingdom not so far away (actually, it was San d'Oria), a peasant squire named Valentione defied centuries of feudal law by sending a special gift to a young noble. This ultimate expression of love over tradition is said to be the origin of the festival we celebrate today.

Ah, love is in the air, and the Mog House Management Union (MHMU) wants to help all those stray hearts find their better halves, kupo! Valentione's Day is a chance for young lovers to express their true feelings by giving that "special someone" a chunk of chocolate sweeter than the words "I love you." We've planned a bittersweet event to bring lonely Vana'dielian couples together, but it looks like most of the adventurers that signed up aren't as comfortable talking with those of the opposite sex once they've put away their halberds and hauberks. That's why we need your help to be Cupid! Don't worry--we'll have something tasty ready for all those who help us out, kupo!

When!?

The Valentione excitement begins at 16:00 (PST) on Thursday, February 1 and continues until 0:00 (PST) on Thursday, February 15 (Earth time).

Where!?

Valentione moogles will be dancing and prancing in locations all across Vana'diel. Find one and listen closely to what he has to say. Your furry friends hold the keys to Valentione's Day festivities, and you wouldn't want to miss out on all the fun and games, would you!? Here's a list of where they'll be twirling:
- Southern San d'Oria (J-9)
- Northern San d'Oria (D-8)
- Bastok Mines (I-9)
- Bastok Markets (G-8)
- Windurst Waters (F-5)
- Windurst Woods (K-10)

Valentione Memories

Are you still pondering over how you should spend your Valentione's Day? What should you prepare? Where should you go? Should you pop the big question? If you just can't decide, then why not take a lesson from these free-spirited adventurers and their journeys down the highway of love?

My boyfriend and I were closer than leeches on a goobue's ankle after a wade through the Caedarva Mire...until we had that spat over whose Brenner was more flammen. After that we didn't speak for moons, and I was certain the end was upon us. But when I opened my delivery box on Valentione's Day and saw a Castor's Ring with my darling's name carved on the inside, I knew it wouldn't be long before he was back in my arms. I still wear that ring whenever we go on Assault missions. Its +10 love is better than any increase in intelligence or mind.

Hume F / Ranger

All cooks love Valentione's! Except for me, of course. I try and I try to make heart chocolates for all my friends and flames, but every year I end up with a Mog House bursting with molding bubble chocolate. But on the upside, there's always some cheap chump out there weary to part with the extra gil to unlock his sweetie's heart, and so those bloody bubbles usually help me break even.

Tarutaru F / Paladin

I fell hard for this one fine lass after spending a great deal of time with her on various adventures. My plan was to tell her how I felt last Valentione's Day. However, when that fateful event rolled around, I couldn't muster up the courage to reveal the feelings pent up in my heart. After that, we slowly lost contact with each other until our friendship had faded into the mists of eternity. If I had only taken that extra step, I wouldn't be a lone traveler on a road to nowhere...

Galka / Warrior

One day on our way back from clobbering colibris in Wajoam, another Mithra in my party started handing out different colored flowers to everyone. When we asked her why, she cheerfully replied, "It's Valentione's Day, sillies! You didn't forget, did you?"

Well, actually, we all had forgotten, but we appreciated the gesture... Well, almost all of us. Supposedly the color of each flower had some sort of meaning--yellow for friendship, red for love, etc. But just what was she trying to say when she handed me that dried marjoram?

Mithra / Thief

# Feb 02 2007 at 12:07 AM Rating: Decent
Its normal they dont match?
Mithra likes a Galka,
but the Galka loves a Hume Female,
The Hume Female wants a Male Taru,
but the Male Taru likes a Hume Elvan,
the Female Elvan wanted a Elvan Hume,
and the Elvan hume likes Mithra.

First time I tryed all matches. But this is the result of 2nd try.
What it's happening here? XD lol this is so anoying. only have 5 points the second time I tryed.

They're unionized?!? I think they need better representation. They work 24/7, only get 3 vacations in their lifetimes, and are requited to travel at the drop of a hat. Its no wonder they spin to make themselves dizzy every time you change a job.

Norma Rae should've been a Moogle!

Better items?

The +1 wand from last year is one of my constant items. Infinite reraises for pt members. That's a nice prize even if it does have a 120 hour recharge time

I just got my cooking to 60 recently. What (if anything) should I be cooking in prep for this coming event?
Ok, so what are we looking at here?
# Jan 27 2007 at 2:06 AM Rating: Decent
My guess would be that like last year, we'll get a HQ crystal in our mailboxes. For anybody not familiar, this means that whatever you craft with that crystal will have your name signed on it. So, what else? Some flowers? Maybe some colored drops? Meh, I'm still waiting for a useful event.
What of us?

What of us, the broken hearted? I lost my drk five months ago and I've not a soul to call my own now. I've yet to let her go, for to let go is only to admit failure, to admit that you wish not to remember them, to toss them aside. Alas, just as she had tossed me aside. But I won't. For I still hold her Astral Ring, her gift of anniversary.

I won't let you go, my Emily. You know who I am speaking to.
