Chocobo Raising Coming August 21st

At the following time, we will be performing FINAL FANTASY XI maintenance on all Worlds. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XI will be unavailable.

[Details]
- Chocobo raising will become available.

- The reuse timer for puppetmaster's pet command, "Deactivate" will be changed to 1 minute.

- During a defensive Besieged, after retreating, the beastman forces would not remain at half strength. This will be fixed.

- Incorrect appearance for the "Archaic Mirror" monster within Arrapago Reef and Halvung will be fixed.

- An issue where "Sneak" and "Deodorize" effect would not be cancelled upon opening a Treasure Coffer or Treasure Chest will be fixed.

- The "Bad Breath" ability used by some of the Morbol type monsters has not been reflected properly. This will be addressed.

- An issue with the battle motion of the monster "Mammet" within the battlefield for the Chains of Promathia mission "Ancient Vows" is not displayed correctly will be fixed.

- Using the "Spirit Link" ability after obtaining the the job ability "Empathy" would debuff pet wyvern instead. This will be addressed.

- Effects for the following items are not reflected correctly and will be addressed:
  Karin Obi / Hyorin Obi / Furin Obi / Dorin Obi
  Rairin Obi / Suirin Obi / Korin Obi / Anrin Obi

- An issue with the instrument "Storm Fife" which could not be sold on the auction house but can be selected from the inventory when selling will be addressed.

- The furniture "Fighting Fish Tank" would reproduce an improper layout size during mog house layout. This will be fixed.

OMG i'm so excited, been waiting all summer long basically! I just hope all the chocobo fuss is worth it, i will be undoubtedly displeased if it wasnt worthy of pride!

So much for hassle-free coffers. Back to popping and getting mugged in the Necropolis.

:x I wonder if this means that they fixed the bug where you can cheat on that mission.. if so sucks to be everyone that didn't want to do it before SE caught the mistake.

I doubt they mean the cheat with "the battle motion ... is not displayed correctly". It's probably some glitch in the way they change to another form, as not knowing which form they are can be problematic.

And indeed, the battle can be done easily with some competent players. Last time I helped with it, we went with RDM, WHM, PLD x2, NIN, BRD. Mammets died before they knew what hit em... (SV Mambo on RDM+NIN, SV March on NIN, SV Minuet I + II on PLDs, SV Ballad on WHM)

Its not like that mission is that hard, you just have to have competent people. If you can't beat the mammets without cheating, how you going to beat Diablos, Oryu, or any of the other bosses in the COP missions?

something caused the glitch after the last update. as a thief i can tell you that for a very long time opening a chest ould strip you of sneak and deoderize.
