At E3 this Thursday, we chatted again with Ryan Shwayder, community relations manager for SOE, about the next Everquest II expansion, Echoes of Faydwer. In this video exclusive, we get a detailed description of what this new adventure has in store.
Everquest II: Echoes of Faydwer has been much touted for its introduction of a new race, and has been designed to accommodate players from Level 1 all the way up to Level 70. Players will begin in an entirely new city and includes hundreds of new quests, 40 new creature types, armor bonuses for collecting full sets, and a new secondary trade skill, tinkering.

There is a wise saying... "There is nothing new under the sun."

EQ2 took from WoW who took from EQ1 who took from Ultima Online. If there is a good idea, I think it would be silly to AVOID said good idea just because someone else came up with it.

If it works, use it. Who cares who originated the idea?

If you actually noticed Everquest * One * was the first MMO out there of its kind and has had content that even the developers of WoW used in their game. So in all reality WoW was not the first game to have this content. Maybe you should freshen up on your homework there buddy!
And by the way, if you think it's because I play EverQuest and not WoW, you are wrong, I play WoW not everquest. Just thought I would let you know that. As much as I enjoy WoW, it's ideas all came from EQ, Hate to burst your buble there.

Dear Draggyn..... If there were any copying.... It is WoW that copied. For starters, they copied the entire concept of 3D MMORPG from Everquest.... Mabbe Warcraft should just stick to their RTS.

Good aural balance, camera work looked great for the environment. Blackguard nailed the presentation. (As a Gnome though, and currently living in Freeport, I see there is much we've fogotten. )

EoF looks awesome and it seems like it`s going to the best expansion yet. I wasn`t to excited about it at first (because there is so much I haven`t done yet) but now I`m looking forward to this expansion. EQ2 has gotten so good now. I`m really glad I decided to try the game again. It`s all I`ve played for the last six months. Hopefully I`ll be topped out in lvl and explored all of KoS by the time this expansion comes out.
