Expanded Magazine Offer

We have a great addition to our premium service. We have expanded the magazine offer we give to all new premium members to now include an annual subscription to your choice of one of four different magazines: Computer Gaming World, Electronic Gaming Monthly, Official U.S. Playstation Magazine or PC Magazine. I've had paid membership for over a year and haven't gotten ****!

Seems like somebody needs to go through a database and actually forward the offer to us premium members...
Nice Selection

Thanks for giving us a choice of mags!

I am on my second year of CGW and I must say I like it. I have the electronic version, because I had a paid subscription before this was instituted ...and being able to switch that to a hard copy subscription will be awesome if they get it worked out.

More value for your money is good. But supporting the website is the real reason to pay. ^^
Not renewing and still did not got the mag...

What about us users overseas? (Australia NZ Europe etc etc) How would we benefit from a subscription that only posts to USA?

Where's my magazine?

Sounds nice, but my decision to join is going to be based 100% on what the ffxisig looks like, if one is made.

If it's the actual magazine, I'm in.

edit:

uhm... where do I, an existing premium user, get to sign-up for the magazine? I don't see a drop down list on the sign-up page.

It is the actual paper magazine. Right now it is offered only to new signups. I am talking with them to extend the offer to existing users as well on their next renewal, and think it is likely that will happen.

'contemplated'?

Sounds a lot like MS marketing terminology for 'plausible deniability'. No offense, but why the hell would you sign ANY deal that screws over the people _who have already paid their memberships_ but that gives a mag subscription to somebody who has perhaps never heard of the site before today?

If they weren't willing to accept your subscriber base as-is, and you went along with it, you're basically slapping each and every paying member who has helped this site become what it is (via paying your bills and the rest).

Really I'm not trying to be pissy... but I remember reading about the free mag and was wondering when the hell it was going to start showing up. Wasnt sure if it was you or they who had screwed up... based on your comment it seems it was you (or your contract lawyer) that's to blame for my empty mailbox.

Since I'm a paid member and a free mag subscription is listed on the 'benefits' page, there shouldn't be any issues with the fact that I was a member before you signed the deal. Quite the opposite in fact... you should have started the subscriptions from oldest paid members to most recent.

If you didn't understand that you would **** OFF existing paid members by excluding them, well now you do.

Please either make them start sending us the mag or take that false advertising down. No waiting for renewal.. either have them send us the crap that we're due or stop claiming that you give it out. It's not like you actually have to pay anything for the subscriptions since it's all ad funded as you said before. They love to give out free mags to boost circulation so they can get more per ad.

That's stupid (no offense).

So I can just cancel my premium, let it run out, then re-sign up???

The deal we signed contemplated giving magazines to existing members. They want to do it. They just need to get the method approved so that the subscribers they get can be counted as paying subscribers for advertising sales. I assume we will work it out.

Do I have to wait until I renew my subscription? Man I hope not b/c I just renewed it 2 months ago.

Oh and one other thing, this is a free one year subscription to the magazine, where they sent you a paper copy, or just access to the magazine articals on their website??

Edit: It's a website not a websote >_<
