Applying for World Emigration (Jun. 7)

The character population has increased significantly for many Worlds and shows no sign of slowing down. To help balance the overall distribution of adventurers, we have decided to invite players from select Worlds to emigrate to less heavily populated Worlds. Please read the following carefully. If you wish to emigrate, please follow the instructions below. [Application Period] >From Jun. 8, 2005 02:00 (PDT) to Jun. 13, 2005 4:00 (PDT) How to apply for World emigration: When the application period begins, an NPC called the World Shifter will appear in each of the following areas. Please be sure to confirm your status before the end of the application period. *Message displayed when applying for World emigration: "You have submitted an application for World emigration." *Message displayed when not applying for World emigration: "You have not submitted an application for World emigration." CAUTION: If you are considering applying for World emigration, please read the following points to ensure a smooth transition. When emigrating: Emigration of characters is done one at a time. If you request emigration for any of your other characters, please conduct all applications separately. Character name: If your character happens to have the same name as another player in the World to which you emigrate, you will have to change your name before entering that World. If you need to change your name, your name will be shown in yellow, and you must follow the on-screen instructions. This name change will not affect your Friend List. Delivery Box/Auction items: All items up for auction and in your Delivery Box will be lost when you emigrate. Please collect these items before moving. Any items in your Mog Safe will be transported with you to the new world. Regarding used linkshells: Following a World shift, your linkshells will be automatically exchanged with new, unopened linkshells. If you have an unused linkshell, you may bring it to the new World. If a linkshell owner emigrates, the player's old linkshell will be deactivated and a new unopened linkshell will be automatically provided. ------------------------------------------------------------

Handle switch?
# Jun 21 2005 at 3:57 PM Rating: Decent
Ok heres the problem, I started a character under a friends handle and then he moved. How could I move my character from his handle to my handle and stay in the same world? One more thing, I havent bought the game for ps2 as of yet.

Since people brought up Kujata
# Jun 11 2005 at 10:16 PM Rating: Default
Kujata keeps getting people's friends, mothers, sons, and thirty-fifth cousins...worldpasses and kind friends and relatives (or a random server assignment) are probably the only way anyone will get to Kujata soon unless there's a mass exodus of current players.

My fiance, my fiance's ex-landlord, the ex-landlord's two little brothers, and ex-landlord's neighbor/friend are all on it...
Then we know/know of about five entire families/social circles that are on it.

You'll know who I am when I say this (provided you've been in a linkshell with me) "half the server is like a big incestuous family...everyone is somehow related to someone."
New Character?
# Jun 11 2005 at 4:33 PM Rating: Decent
Does anybody know if regular registration of a new character with a World Pass is closed during this time?

A friend of mine is trying to jump on Gilgamesh, but is getting an error when she tries.

Why's that? Anyway, does anyone know how the Remora Server is? Siren is becoming increasing overwhelmed with people who don't give crap about leaving IT monsters behind and killing us.

# Jun 09 2005 at 11:13 PM Rating: Decent
This should clear up Unicorn hopefully. Our eco is soooo jacked up.. Ochiudo costs 1.2mil a Peacock charm is almost as much as our Kraken... I'd leave unicorn but the chances of another server being better are slim and i dont wanna leave my cuzins and friends
valefore ?
# Jun 09 2005 at 6:42 PM Rating: Decent
doesnt anyone ever post from valefor ? i am very pleased with the econ. / population of valefore. the most people i have ever seen on at once are 2.6k which isnt bad but its normally in the high 1's. astrals go for 400-800 k, snipers are at a steady 400k and haub. is up too 2 mil which is high for the server but still lower than alot of other srvers. verm cloak however is and seems that it always will be 6- 10 mill. i am guessing thats a lil high. lots of high level crafters on valefor tho.... BUT LOTS OF GILSELLERS ><

RENGES SIZEMATTERS, 60 war, 50 rng, 40 thf, 29 nin

Hades World
# Jun 09 2005 at 10:46 AM Rating: Default
After a few months of being on Hades, the economy is finally settling down a little bit. Prices are more comparable with the "tamer" servers...but the thing that worries me is that Hades is going to end up with a buttload of people. I think at the MOST, i've seen approx. 2800 people online...that means we'll get at least 400-500 new players if that many migrate since the other 2 servers are a lot closer to full. While it's good for having more ppl to party with, I pray to Altana that this doesn't re-inflate the economy, just as it was starting to settle down.

Say a prayer for our lil' server!

Hmmm.... last month the average number of people logged on for HADES was around 2419, with a range from 1858 to 3419.

Ok can someone help me to understand this? What about the Kujata server? If we are on it can we or can't we move? And can people come into it?
RE: Help Please?
# Jun 09 2005 at 5:27 PM Rating: Decent
Nope, It doesn't apply to us Kujatans. And really why should it, we have about 1800 people on the server at any given time, a lot less than say Bahamut. Besides which inflation isn't as bad as some of the other servers. I mean you can get an astral ring for under a million here. No moving for us

Hopefully high skilled crafters migrate over to Hades so we can have more equipment on the Auction Houses. >_< By the way, how many people are usually on those packed servers? Average of 3k? I know Hades is around 2.5k. Just wondering the difference.

Gilgamesh has anywhere between 3,000 and 3,500 players on at any given time. The most I have ever saw was 3,900.

SE must be the dumbest bunch to ever live. At prime time, especially Saturday/Sunday Midgardsormr is probably the most packed server. I want off Midgardsormr because the economy is probably one of the worst in all the servers.

Info on Hades
# Jun 08 2005 at 12:31 PM Rating: Decent
As for transfering to Hades, I say Welcome and have a good time when you get here the economy is a little out to lunch but maybe it can be fixed if there are enough people devoted to the cause as it is I currently have characters spanning over three servers Hades, Carbuncle and Ifrit, i am very seriously considering moving them all to Hades as being on different servers is begining to annoy me. Anyway if you coming to Hades I welcome you, I and I hope you enjoy the trip. If you see me on Hades feel free to say hi, I enjoy good conversation.

Rubeis -Hume - 15Thf/18War - Hades
ConsiderateSoul - Galkan - 10whm/nosub - Hades
Sabrine - Mithra - 19Blm/16whm/14rdm - Carbuncle
Lehtamil - Elvaan - 21rdm/18whm/18war - Ifrit
just my luck
# Jun 08 2005 at 11:05 AM Rating: Decent
Damn i was hoping to get off of overpriced lakshimi. If i get a chance to leave im gone not to pull anything away from the friends I've made but... I need resonable prices.
Leviathan is closed!!!!
# Jun 08 2005 at 10:55 AM Rating: Default
Leviathan is closed to foreigners!!! Especially [insert nationality] gil sellers here!!! bwahahahahah!!. No seriously! Welcome to new players if you get to come to the best server in the game!!

Rabbit Charm is a guaranteed 100% drop!!! woot!! Leaping Boots just fall from the sky and Peacock charms a plenty !! woot!! (just kidding ok)

As I said, Welcome to new players IF you are able to migrate to Leviathan!!

# Jun 08 2005 at 10:51 AM Rating: Decent
yea i thought we had a good sized pop on midgard, but i guess we are too small :/. hopefully the people emigrating are regular, integral players and not more gilsellers and such, or else the economy will flounder. if you are emigrating, you should look around to try to find prices of items on either server and maybe if they are less on your current server, bring them over and sell them for that cost on midgard :). lower some of the outrageousness a bit.
How many?

I'd like to know how many people are transfering to Hades from the designated worlds? I'm thinking about it, hoping there's a chance we can make a GOOD economy on the new world...
Seems only 50%
# Jun 08 2005 at 10:33 AM Rating: Decent
Yeah seems about 50% of the servers are only affected
A second part?

Well it seems that they left a lot of servers. Perhaps for a second part to this;
Titan, Ramuh, Alexander, Leviathan, Quetzalcoatl, Pandemonium, Garuda, Cerberus, Kujata, Bismarck, Seraph, Lakshmi.

Maybe we just have the perfect sized population on our servers right now?
