Internet Relations Manager Sanya Thomas and Tools Progammer Scott Jennings both replied and posted on the Developer's Round Table on CamelotVault. Each said where they play and why, while Sanya went on to give someone, who was having tech problems, some advice. Where Scott plays and his reasons: Hi, my name is Scott, and I am *NOT* the realm balancing guy at Mythic. I play Mid Healer because we ownz joo bwahaha. Sorry, couldn't resist. (Note if this post is quoted out of context: check the first post in this thread to understand my weak attempt at humor.) As far as I know, the only Mythic people who play in Midgard regularly are Sanya and myself (we came from the same EQ guild, which chose Midgard back in beta), Jon (one of the lead GMs), and Spyke, our network/tradeskills guru. I'll let the others disclose the class of their main if they care to (none play a class capable of AOE stun/mez, btw), but mine is a skald. I've also been levelling up a Warden in Hibernia on another server, and that's been taking up the majority of my online time since due to time constraints I've fallen waaay behind most of my Midgard guild in levels. Where Sanya plays and her reasons: Oh, I'm still reading, just not posting as much. (The best way to keep a thread on topic is for me to not post to it.) I have a shaman, a shadowblade, a champion, and a mercenary. Only two of those are over 20, though, the other two are only over 10. I can't really justify spending more than a couple hours a day playing with as much stuff I have to read. The main reason the shadowblade isn't one of the over 20 characters is because it doesn't fit with my personality very well. It takes meticulous planning, patience, and timing, as you assassin types well know. (There are some tweaks to a few aspects of the class that I'm waiting on before I express my opinion further.) I do that kind of stuff all day; when I want to relax I just want to smash stuff. I'm more the "Unga Kill" type than "Delicately he insinuated himself behind his oblivious foe, and silently raised his blade at the proper angle in the dark of the moonless sky" kind of player. At the moment I'm having fun on one of the roleplay servers. I'm kind of wondering what kind of brain damaged jackass goes on the roleplay server and names himself "Pimpindahoes" but then, that's the sort of question that answers itself. Advice to player having problems: One thing you can do is make sure you have the best drivers for your video card. I have been told that some *drivers* have memory leaks, and a game as visually demanding as ours is will really hurt. I know from personal experience that I had best reboot the instant I start getting the "flare" effect, because a crash is coming within two minutes. Y'all can help us by sending your error.txt (the most recent entry, BTW - you'll notice each chunk of error log has a date at the top, we don't need the whole mess, just the chunk that relates to the incident where you crashed out) file whenever you crash out of the game due to frame rate lag. Send those logs to cambugs@mythicentertainment.com with a quick description of the circumstances - "I had been playing for three hours, I had zoned in and out of Camelot twice, and I was fighting the dragon ant queen when I started getting flare, and then the whole screen went psycho and I crashed to the desktop. I died because of that. Gimme my exp back now plz." I'm kidding about the last part. Some "falling through the world" bugs are related to the framerate lag issue, NOT holes in the world. For instance, if I'm having serious frame rate issues after having been logged in for something ridiculous like six hours, I will fall through the world randomly in the major cities and dungeons. If I've recently rebooted, I rarely fall. In the places where I DO fall after a recent reboot, it's often an actual hole we can repair. Sorry if I'm being unclear - I don't personally understand the technical reasons for why my frame rate would make the world floor seem like swiss cheese.
