Zocks did an interview with Heiko Jacobs of GOA, the European partner of Mythic. Here's an excerpt: What do you like/dislike in the other, currently active MMORPGs? Personally, I think that all MMORPGS on the market today were an awesome amount of work and also cater to the different playing styles that people have. Even though there are problems with balance and support in some of the available games, they all deserve a “thumbs up”, cause in my opinion, MMORPGS are the most complex computer games that we know of. What I don’t like about the gaming community though, is that the RP in MMORPG has little meaning for a large percentage of the players, I don’t like people seeing DaoC as an improved version of Quake or CS, where they have the option to improve their characters. It will be our foremost goal to unite the powergamers and the roleplayers in DaoC, which will surely be a new step in Online Gaming. Read the rest at this link.
