*Clunk* - Hammer time!

First off: It would be nice if you managed to fix the comment section over at DestinyDB.

While I don't have a video of the happening, my most epic and probably one of my proudest matches of Destiny Crucible goes as follows (if my memory serves me correctly):

My guildies and I formed a complete team for Iron Banner, as they wanted the ghost shell and a chance for some higher ilvl gear (in order to improve on their raiding...). I am probably the one who enjoys PvP the most, and mostly carry my guild through PvP (the truth must out, despite bragging).

We enter a match, and the short of it is that my team does terribly, they vent on chat, and my girlfriend next to me is about to give up. The match is nearing the end as we are under by roughly 1000 points, and the opposing team only needs like 100-200 more points. (I'm trying to keep my team afloat, despite them having given up and the opposing team straight up out-classing us.)

The second round of heavy ammo is comming up, so I camp the heavy spawn. All enemies stack on the other spawn point. All but one. I manage to sneak up on him with a shotty as he runs unsuspectingly towards this heavy spawn, grab the heavy, and thanks to The Taikonaut I get 2 or 3 kills with the rocket around a corner. Just flew pretty much straight up, acquired target, and got a few shots off (one of which connected).

My team awaits certain annihilation, but as I just run out of rocket ammo, my super becomes available. *Clunk* - Hammer time! The opponents seems confident, victory within their grasp, an easy win from the start; then hammers start raining. I whipe out the last of our enemies before they manage to get another kill, and grab a hard fought victory right under their nose!

My guildies cheer, and can hardly believe what they just saw. They were having a terrible night, but in the end: I was their light. I can't find the match to link now (on my tablet for the holidays), but if my memory serves me correctly; that was one of the fiew times I had a kill count of 30+.

PS: I love my guildies, and they're good playes, but some of them are mediocre at PvP, and were having a bad night. I apparently had one of my best matches of all time :D

Love,

PS4 Giveaway Story
# Dec 22 2015 at 1:55 PM Rating: Decent
First thing and most important I think : Thank you for giving this chance. Not having a PS4 this is getting me really excited. But regardless of win or lose, thank you for giving this chance to all players.

On with the story!

Not much to say really. I always lacked qualities in PVP. I'm probably at K/D ratio of 0.5 at best but I decied to give Iron Banner a try in October.

The fight was going well and the first Heavy Ammo drop came. I've picked it up and got my trusted rocket launcher out of my pocket. The second heavy ammo wasn't picked up already so I decided to move forward to it. To my surprise it took a bit of time to get picked up because I had time to get there where I saw 2 ennemy guardians taking it.

One rocket later, I had two kills. Just with that I was really happy with that shot. Having denied this heavy ammo drop from the ennemy. Turned a cornor and another rocket later, had my third kill in a row. Switched back to my shotgun and started running around to find more victim or my own timely death.

I knew that with my talent I was better trying to sneak up on someone rather than getting them head on. I got across two guardians having a firefight with my other teammate and decided it was time to unleash my nova bomb. And it was effective! Both kill and my 5 kill streak. Which was probably my very first for life.

I was very glad that I made that until I was shotgunned in the back before even setting foot on the ground after my nova bomb.

Well... that streak didn't rolled for long!
IB Titan Bubble Train
# Dec 22 2015 at 1:48 PM Rating: Decent
in the darkbelow dlc I was a warlock that loved to [throw purple space magic ] at people so me and two friends where loading into Exodus Blue one told me, well we screwed they have a full fireteam so I wasn't very confident on wining based on past experiences with full enemy fireteams. the match was started off normal you know that one place everybody just throws grenades at. later in the match we where losing by 500 points or so but at that moment we captured all three points. I was confused because I couldn't find any of em' and my other friend was laughing telling to get to him to see what was going on. they formed a ******* bubble train all six where bubble titans one would collect all the orbs to place another bubble. so they where moving around the map with it using shotguns all grouping up and shots any one that went in inside and if you used a super to destroy one another bubble would come up in seconds. eventually, the bubble train came up inside building with the c point leading from the hole in the wall to inside the middle of the room. I told my friends to get them all in same bubble by actin like your run in with a shotgun so they did and I blinked into the bubble looking straight down a threw a massive vortex nova bomb with bloom it was amazing all six where annihilated and did the smaller explosions at same time bubbles look as if they gave up and disappeared. I was laughing uncontrollably and said just suicide bomb all bubbles and they fell apart after that no had a super and if one did the bubble would be gone faster than it was placed. and was easy to take em' out then on and of course we won it was just to damn funny to see a moving bubble train. and if you read this thank you I am not a good writer of course but I hope you enjoyed it or at least thought wtf.

Noticing that I'm getting close to the 10 kill streak and then failing.

Not paying attention to the 10 kill streak and discovering I got it

Iron Banner has always been my favorite event from the very beginning. I love the chaos and the clamor of the battlefield. Saladin sent me out into the field to prove my worth and i returned victorious. There is no one specific story that defines my experience. The only thing that remains are my armor, bond, and weapons that i earned. I was weak once, now i am iron.

My story!
# Dec 22 2015 at 12:26 PM Rating: Decent
I haven't really been on it that many times just a couple (not to mention I suck at pvp) but I do remember this match when during the whole game both of the teams were head to head and when it was about to end the other team had a slight advantage and they're were obviously going to win. So everyone on my team just decide to give up. Usual when it's about to end and the other team it's winning. So I was like nhaaa I'm not giving up yet. So I decided to just make a run. I was hiding behind this corner and then I soon as I saw this two guys coming I just shot then with my shotgun killing one and then taking another shoot and killing the other one. Then I start reloading and I see this other guy. Realizing now that the score was tied and being one kill away from victory. Well long story short (I also suck at making stories) the guy had also a shotgun and killed me. Trying to be heroic made my team lost. But I tried!

Soooo, I remember this day in year 1 when I was in the Iron Banner, all the enemy was literally on one side and all of my team was on the other. We decided to rush in and the team was ALL warlocks and they all had their nova bomb supers. My whole team died except me because i plopped down my bubble at the last second and then i was just surrounded by a team full of warlocks and i had helm of saint 14 on so everytime a bunch of warlocks tried to come into the bubble I would jump up and wait for the helm of saint 14 to take effect and then kill them. I killed all of them and won the match. That is my best/favorite heroic Iron Banner Moment. :) Hope I win and good luck to anyone. (Wish I had video but I don't. :( lol)
The Laggy Warlock
# Dec 22 2015 at 11:49 AM Rating: Decent
It was a face to face showdown on Exodus Blue. An all out hand to hand brawl, the fight of the century. I was taking a leisurely run through the trenches on A side, when a deranged man shot around the corner. In a panic I gave the man a gentle warlock shove for which he brushed off, he responded with a punch which I easily dodged as I suspect the man was drunk. Several dodged punches later I finally landed a good hit causing the man to dematerialize thanks to my superior warlock might. At least that's what I told myself.... on the inside I knew my terrible ping was to blame.
Bubble Train
# Dec 22 2015 at 11:33 AM Rating: Decent
Back in year 1 I remember one match of iron banner I played, I was searching for a game solo when I joined into a team of all Titans. Luckily, we all had helm of Saint 14 so I knew it was time to have some fun. We all set our supers to create the most orbs possible and created a bubble train around the map. We got the other team to try to come up with ways to destroy the bubbles and end our fun instead of capturing the objective and we actually ended up winning because we had so many kills. I've never had an experience quite like that but it's definitely the most fun I've had in crucible.
Favorite iron banner moment

I was playing my bubble Titan and was with my team when we hear someone on the other team pop hammers we all panicked and I threw a suppression grenade and see his hammers turn right off, the look on that Titan as he kept trying to throw hammers and was just hitting air as I killed him will always be my favorite iron banner moment.
Bubbles are Never Truly Safe
# Dec 22 2015 at 11:24 AM Rating: Decent
A group of friends and I were playing Iron Banner together, going through the motions of trying to get bounties achieved. It was Control on Asylum and we were focused on taking B site from the opposition. I was playing the role of the Striker Titan.

They had been popping bubbles in the doorway for a time, thwarting efforts of trickling their health as they passed in and out of Blessings of Light to mow us down.

This particular instance, they succeeded in popping a bubble, but my Super was finally ready for them. I jokingly remarked "Watch this" to my comrades, thinking I would get maybe two or three enemies. As they huddled together in their bubble, I ran forward, and popped Fist of Havok directly in the middle of the bubble. No only did the initial impact take out the three in the immediate area, but the two others running forward to join the fight.

My fireteam and I were caught up in laughing too hard to worry about B site, surprised at the fact that more than half of their team was gone, and went on to win that match. That moment is forever solidified in my mind, and remains one of my shining Crucible moments of victory caught on video.

You can find the video of the super here.
best iron banner match

Me and a team of 4 spawn into a match in progress which I could tell wasn't good score was 8000 to 1500, we though about leaving but my teammate told us to stay that we could make this comeback so we played it was bad at first but we slowly pushed the into spawn and started gaining on them in points. After a while the score were both 19000 and both us and the enemy were playing super passive it came down to a few lucky sniper picks and running out the timer we won by 200 points and I finally got my spear I wanted

As usual with the new Taken King DLC, i was playing with the best class, Warlock storm trance (not meaning to start an argument xD) and during the first iron banner i was aiming to level up to be able to buy the new warlock band. After loosing like 4 games in a row, i began to stock up on the loss game tokens, and despiratly trying not to get the last number 5 token, me and my hunter friend completely owned. I cant remember which map exactly it was but i know it was on Venus. Both of us ended with more than 20 kills, and i only got 2 deaths! Best game ive played in ages, and got awarded the bond after the game anyway, with even leveling up. Absolute luck xD

I was playing IB control in year 1 with my warlock and with my other warlock friend. (He mains a titan now) We were playing on pantheon i was running nova bomb blink shotgun with red death (I know, pretty cheap). This game i went OFF. Usually I'm a pretty average player, but this game was just awesome, except the enemy team had a huge lead on us. So, they had triple capped us twice in about 3 minutes starting into the game. Me and my friend wanted to win so we started to get sweaty. I was going on a kill feed with my shotgun, playing super aggresively and using the red death when i should. But my kills came from the jolder's hammer i had gotten the game before. I got about 7-9 kills with it. Until i had ran out of heavy i had a nova bomb saved up because i was waiting for the perfect moment, and i had found it. I was rushing their C-flag spawn and had used the nova bomb the instant i saw more than three. Turns out their was five guys. I was HYPE when i saw the feed and my medals stack up and getting hype with my friend. We made a good comeback but we still barely lost. I had about 22+ kills but idk how many deaths. Probably 5 or more deaths. This was on ps3 so i couldn't get the film, but it was amazing.
Night stalker breaker medal
# Dec 22 2015 at 10:36 AM Rating: Decent
I main a gunslinger hunter, but this was one of the first iron banners after ttk so I was trying out the night stalker. I wasn't sure how to use it, but I thought using super on heavy usually works. So I held my super for a minute or so and when heavy came up I set up to use it. i waited for a few enemies to gather then I popped out of my cover used it to kill one guy directly before I switched to the raid sniper for 3 quick body shots to kill the others for the breaker medal, allowing me to take the heavy from them. I'd say I'm an average player so this was moment was great for me, I've never been able to replicate this success with the night stalker since
SUPER GALOR
# Dec 22 2015 at 10:35 AM Rating: Decent
I was playing iron banner by my self and I noticed that I kept hearing people pop their supers. I was in fear because I knew exactly what was happening. It was that little super exploit that this Twitch streamer found long ago where they keep popping their supers over and over again, basically infinite supers. I don't exactly remember his name. Anyways, I stayed in the match to see if I was able to stop this with my team. I never died because I hid behind a wall and peeked over occasionally to see the status of what was happening. They had 3 Titan bubbles 1 warlock nova bombing and 2 hunters with golden gun. It took some time but I popped my golden gun as soon as a striker on my team smashed the whole area and I cleared up anybody that was trying to come back to collect some orbs and do the whole thing over again. We disrupted the whole system and had a come back. Now I did have a video of this but I deleted it after my friend saw it. That was the only reason I recorded it. Now I'm regretting that dissicion.
