First castle siege on internal test server

This was sent to us by Dhevrin, so I figured I would pass it along to you: --------- First castle siege on internal test server Yesterday a bunch of GMs and QA guys from both LA and Austin offices held a test run castle siege. We gathered around 50 players, and headed to Giran Castle. Of course, it would be impossible for 50 average players to succeed at a castle siege so our characters were buffed to the max and we went to work. I played a female Dark Elf Bladedancer named Mzer. Needless to say I died several times, those NPC archers are crazy. At one point I was looking like a porcupine. At each door is a large number of guards. The PC archers have to kill the NPCs on the ledges quickly, since the rest of us are defenseless. All the fighters were responsible to break down the doors, which had a nice effect, since the more damage it took, the more beat up it looks, so you know you are getting close. The giantic siege golem made a showing and it is impressive to say the least. Unfortunately, you can only use the siege golem around the perimeter defenses, once you are inside the castle grounds, you are on your own. In the end, we made it all the way down to the Avatar room, but could not obtain the Avatar safely within the 2 hour time period. The most important thing was the setting up for the rallying point by the Alliance leader just outside the castle walls. Otherwise we would have been in serious trouble. I'll be sure to post some screenshots in the official section, although I was in such a rush they weren't done very well. PvP system discussion We will be holding a PvP discussion on the forum next week to try and come up with ideas on how to improve PvP play. I will serve as devil's advocate in the process, trying to shoot down whatever ideas you might have (j/k). Eventually we will take the best ideas produced, based on what we know or want about PvP and send it to the developers for review and possibly for implementation.
