Elder Scrolls Online Confirmed for Consoles

ZeniMax announces that next-gen gamers can enter Tamriel from Spring 2014

If you’ve been following the E3 press conferences, you may have been caught off-guard by the news that Elder Scrolls Online will be heading to next generation consoles. ZeniMax also shared details on the release window, with the upcoming MMO slated to launch in Spring 2014. To coincide with the announcement, we’ve also been treated to a new gameplay video to feast over.

Digging into the details, ZeniMax have confirmed that PC and Mac gamers will play on a shared megaserver. Conversely, adventurers on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will explore Tamriel on a megaserver exclusively for their respective platforms.

While ESO is currently in closed beta on the PC, it was disclosed during the Sony E3 press conference that the MMO’s console beta will arrive on PlayStation 4 before any other platform. And if that’s not soon enough, you’ll also be able to go hands-on at Gamescom in August.
