Humble Indie Bundle Goes Trick-or-Treating
Some scary, some fun.
The Humble Indie Bundle has gone Halloween style again this year, with a new bout of horror/spooky-themed games (if not always scary). The five games featured are...
Sam and Max, infamous point-and-click adventure duo, return in The Devil's Playhouse, an episodic self-contained story that unravels the mystery of the Devil's Toybox and Toys of Power, using Max's new psychic abilities. Home is a choose-your-own-adventure style adventure game with horror elements, featuring simple controls yet an intensive focus on story. Pathologic, the first title from Russian developer Ice-Pick Lodge, involves picking one of the three healers (Bachelor, Haruspicus, and the Devotress) who enter town just as an infection breaks out, and jumps between their respective stories. Comedy-Puzzle-Adventure game MacGuffin's Curse has a lighter-themed take on Halloween, trying to clear a magician-turned-werewolf's name while being pursued by police. And, lastly, EvilQuest is a retro action RPG from the SNES era, involving a typical fantasy story, but instead from the perspective of the bad guy on a quest to avenge himself after being betrayed.
Purchasing the bundle at the highest amount, as always, grants you bonus gifts, including the Old-School Collector's Edition of Home, including map, game manual, and game universe items, as well as a chiptune album Preschtale from C-Jeff.
