I thought Planetside was a pretty good in-between MMORPG type of game. The every-other-month updates make me wonder if anyone even plays this game. It is kind of sad to see it slowly die, since it was pretty good for what it was intended to do. I just wish SOE added more variety then just base captures and actually put it at a more realistic monthly price point (since all it is is a glorified Tribes 2 with much larger maps)
Character Cleanup
This in from SOE:
On Tuesday January 13, we will be performing maintenance on the PlanetSide character database. At that time, characters on accounts that have been inactive for more than 90 days will be deleted. This means a number of names will be freed up for our player base to use. Characters on active accounts will not be affected, regardless of the last login, whether to that account or that character.
