This Week in TERA: January 22-28

A summary of this week's happenings in the world of TERA.

While things have been slow this week in TERA, En Masse has released a few tidbits of information on the game's official site. First of all, in this issue of Velika’s Voice we are asked “In your ideal scenario, how would you want to split your game play time between solo and group play?” This is a very interesting question for En Masse to ask and the answers could impact how the North American/European game balances between the two play styles. If you want to cast your vote head on over to the En Masse official TERA forums and let them know what you prefer.

In the Velika Guardian: Issue 32, En Masse recaps the past couple weeks' worth of events, which includes our very own Archer class reveal and Q&A. Going along with these two articles were dozens of new screenshots of the Archer class.

The results of the “Tweet your gamer’s resolution for 2011” came in and I can say personally that I relate to this particular quote:

@darkmag13: "I will get someone else to play the tank role in MMO's!"

This week’s Pegasus Express segments focused on the archer class and the high elves and centralized all of the links and information recently released for them.

Check after the jump for more TERA details.

The screenshots of the week focused on a new monster type known as the Rockcrawler. These stone creatures like to inhabit ancient ruins and woe to the adventurer who finds himself surrounded by these chomping creatures.

R. K. MacPherson wrote a dev blog entry about the naming system for monsters in TERA. This quote explains the main point of the piece:

"Monsters aren't just loot piñatas dropped into the world for your destructive joy, they, and their names, are another avenue (however tiny!) to deliver what really matters to us (and, we hope, you!): A story."
