New King's Quest Game! First in 16 years!

10 Years in Development. It's survived multiple legal battles with Vivendi and Activision. Made completely by fans. Totally free.

MMO gamers are usually PC gamers, and there's no game that left a bigger mark on the PC gaming industry than King's Quest. So we're happy to announce that The Silver Lining released this past weekend, the first true-to-form King's Quest game in sixteen years! It was made completely by fans over the course of ten years after surviving multiple legal battles with Vivendi and Activision! Talk about a passion project.

The first of five episodes released on Saturday the 10th, with the rest of the episodes releasing during the rest of 2010. And here's the kicker: it's completely free.

Many consider the King's Quest games to be the original and best adventure games, and could be credited in progressing story development in games and having fully voiced dialogue when other games were only about shooting aliens or eating mushrooms. You owe it to yourself and to the passionate people on this project to check out this game, if not just to pay tribute to a dedicated team that's worked so hard over the past 10 years. Go here to download it.
