New GM Blog Gives Status Update on In-Game Issues

GM Maruader, the director of Champions Online customer service, has brought back the GM Blog in an attempt to ehance communication with the game's community. The purpose of the blog is to fill players in on the state of of issues that they've submitted to customer service.

The first issue of the GM Blog lists seven fixes that are planned for the PTS that are are a direct result of player input. GM Marauder also encourages players "to use the search function within the in-game ticketing system and use the 'subscribe' button if you see your issue listed." This will help give these issues top priority when the customer service team brings them up to the developers.

As stated in my earlier post this week I want to engage the community more and provide regular updates to what the Support Team have been doing with your tickets. So here is the first official update from a CS perspective:

First off we want to encourage you all to use the search function within the in-game ticketing system and use the "subscribe" button if you see your issue listed. The subscribe button is very important for the players to use as it ensures that CS can push for bugs to be fixed in-game with the Dev Team. The more subscribers a bug has the more attention it gets, and thus gets on the roadmap to be addressed sooner.

Every week CS sits down with the development team and discusses the top issues that have been reported in-game. We make our case to the Development Team for bugs to be addressed and follow-up with them on a regular basis to ensure the player issues that we reported are being addressed. By bringing back the GM Blog we can communicate the status of issues that you have submitted by CS. We are also looking at making changes to our internal tools so that we can reply to all your tickets with an update on the issue you submitted in a more timely, and efficient manner.

Ok enough of me blabbing! Let’s get down to providing you all with updates to issues that you reported. I must stress that we can only champion issues that you have brought to the attention of CS via in-game tickets.

Fixes planned for PTS:

  • Pressing “I” will not open the main inventory after you have had any other bag open.
  • Foxbat Camera Bot: There is no progress bar shown when they use their hold on you. This fixes both in MC and in Foxbattlebots Bank Job.
  • The tailor will not let you click on certain options until you have clicked on another first.
  • Unlocked costume parts flag Nemesis Costumes as invalid.
  • Tutorial: Defender not responding.
  • The mission “That Sinking Feeling” causes game to crash.
  • The slide bars for facial and body characteristics are laggy.

The above fixes are based on the input that you provide CS with. I will be doing this on a regular basis and will add additional fixes to the above list once I have confirmation from the Dev Team. I hope this has been informative and I will make sure that CS keeps up with communicating to you.
