NCsoft has released information on the open beta schedule for Aion, as well as the pre-select and head start opportunities that will be offered to players who pre-ordered the game. The open beta is scheduled to be held from Sept. 6-13 for both North American and European players and will feature version 1.5 of Aion. The level cap will remain at 30 for Elyos and Asmodian characters so players can get to the same level and explore the world together.

Aion launches in North America on Sept. 22 and Europe on Sept. 25, but players who have pre-ordered the game get to take part in the pre-select program on Sept. 18 and dive into the world a little early on Sept. 20 through the head start offer. You can still take advantage of these programs by pre-ordering Aion before the launch. Don't forget that you can earn Aion wings for your Guild Wars characters by purchasing either the Aion SteelBook edition or the Aion Limited Collector's Edition.
