JULY 8th Patch Notes

Here are the notes from today's patch: --------------------- July 8th Update Notes 07/08/2003 10:41 AM -If a creature breaks your /maskscent you cannot remask your scent for 60 seconds. -We have some fixes to address trading not working occasionally, inability to access items in harvesters or vendors, and items vanishing after being looted from corpses. Once we have verified that these fixes are working correctly, we will be bringing back the normal death system. -Mobs in caves and other interiors should pathfind a lot better now. -We have done a series of client optimizations to improve client performance. -Critical events when sampling have been increased in frequency. -There are now more types of critical events in sampling. -There is now a 25 second delay between sample attempts. -The action pool cost of sampling has been increased. -Installations will now cease to work unless their maintenance is fully paid up.

25 delay!!

The 25 seconds DELAY IS TOO LONG. MAN i was about to become a more skilled artisan and they bring this up.. it is quite unfair! 25 is too long
if it is 15 it is still tolerable. i hope it will become at least 15-20 delay later
mask scent

ok....soooo now when you want to get through a bunch of agressive mobs...no matter how good your camo skill is, even the lowest of critters can detect you and set off the 'sys scentmask delay' of a minute which is 50 seconds more time than most mobs need to jump you and tell all their buddies...so heck...forget being able to safely get through low agressive mobs without an annoying fight, and forget about trying to actually tame any (takes at least a minute or two to get the taming to hold) especially tough mobs, cause as soon as the maskscent goes down, you're dead...anyways...just ranting...this nerf particularly has pissed me off (taming a baby diseased bocatt is now impossible because any wandering animal, let alone the bocatts themselves, can agro them all and waste the whole point of mask scent...makes mask scent basically just a hail mary for when you have no choice but to attempt to run through a group of agressives...anyways...grr..........)

Isn't all that going to make sampling unbearably slow? 25 seconds seems like a very long time compared to before, when it already felt slow as hell !

Read it more carefully...

criticals?

Does anyone know what the heck they are talking about with criticals? I've not seen anything on this before.. and if there are 'more' and happen more often, I'd like to know what they are..

The only type of critical events in sampling before were "You have discovered an unusually rich sample," that gave 1-2 more units of the resource, but actually resulted in less surveying xp than gathering that size of sample would normally.
