New Fallen Earth Video Shows 3 B's of Apocalypse

With the Sept. 9 launch of Fallen Earth creeping up on prospective players, you may be interested to know a new teaser video has been released on IGN. The 37-second trailer shows us the three B's of apocalypse: blood, beasts and babes. It also shows some gameplay footage in case you haven't participated in any of the beta events and are curious what a post-apocalyptic MMO looks like.

So are you considering playing this game once it launches? In case you haven't read it yet, there is a FAQ on the official Web site that answers various questions, such as ones pertaining to subscription fees. The game will cost $49.95 and come with a 30-day free trial, and will then cost $11.99 to $14.99 per month depending on how you set up your subscription. There will be no microtransactions. What is Fallen Earth™?

Fallen Earth is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game set on a post-apocalyptic Earth in the year 2156. Within the Grand Canyon Province, an isolated pocket of settlements around one of the world’s most amazing landmarks, you’ll face threats to mankind’s continued survival, including everything from irradiated zones to mutated beasts to raiders. Six factions struggle for dominance in the Province. Over time, you’ll have the chance to pick a side in the effort to hold sway over what remains of the post-Fall world.


When will Fallen Earth be released?

We have set our release date for September 9, 2009.


How much will Fallen Earth cost?

The expected price of Fallen Earth is $49.99. Pricing outside the US has not been determined.


What are the subscription prices?

The expected subscription price is $14.99 for one month with discounts for purchasing three months ($13.99/month), six months ($12.99/month) and one year ($11.99/month).


Will there be a free play period?

Yes, every purchase comes with a free 30-day subscription.


Can I pre-order Fallen Earth?

Yes, players will be able to pre-order the game through a number of retailers and digital distribution warehouses.


Will there be an incentive to pre-order the game?

Yes, we have some special incentives and in-game items planned for customers who pre-order early. The incentive and/or item will be specific to the retailer.


If I buy multiple copies of the game to collect the items/incentives, can they be used on one account?

Yes. You will be able to redeem the item on any account you choose. Items can't be traded and can only be redeemed on one character.


Are there micro transactions in Fallen Earth?

No, there are no micro transactions in Fallen Earth.


What forms of payment will be accepted?

FALLEN EARTH, LLC will accept all major credit cards accepted by PayPal. Other retail outlets will determine the acceptable forms of payment for their sales.


Can people outside the US buy and play the game?

Currently, Fallen Earth won't be carried by retail stores outside the United States, but the game will be available through digital download from selected distribution partners.


Will there be European servers?

Yes, we will have centralized servers to make game play more seamless.


When will the game be available?

Will there be an Open Beta?

Yes, there will be an Open Beta for Fallen Earth.


Will there be a scheduled character wipe before Open Beta?

The Fallen Earth team has not planned a character wipe before Open Beta, although one may be necessary.


Will I be able to transfer my beta character to the game after launch?

No, you will not be able to transfer your character after launch. However, specially acquired items (such as the Brass Goggles from the Beckett Massive Online Gamer Magazine September 2009 issue and the Portland Runner special mount from the National Fan Contest) will be redeemable post-launch. Players will simply need to re-enter the provided code to reaquire the item.
