Vanguard Devs Answer Community Questions

The Vanguard developers have answered a new series of questions submitted by community members, and they provide some general comments on their future plans. For example, they may possibly implement more items with platinum coins in the future, and they are revamping the salamander caves to give players level 52 and up some more content.

As far as veteran rewards for loyal players are concerned, the dev team says they would have to be fluff items that won't imbalance the game, but didn't mention if such items will actually be implemented. They are reviewing the block forumula and varying blocks for the tank classes and will continue to adjust and add more storage space to the game globally.

Any plans with platinum coins to implement more stuff like racial weapons, jewelry, armor upgrades and crafting diplo items?
Possibly in the future when we have time to sit down and add some things.

Can we get some kind of explanation of the GOD buffs in PotA so that players can have some kind of idea how much it will effect their guild, their class, etc...?
The GOD buffs are going to differ based on area so can’t really give an explanation for them currently.

Is there any intent to add a bit more content for level 51+, even if only a few more areas to add variety to supplement the elementals, prior to the next major Game Update?
We are revamping the salamander caves which should roughly cover levels 52 and up.

Would you reduce the long grinds for leveling, sod item, pota faction etc. That the "end game" has become?
We have adjusted the XP curve recently, have made several adjustments directly and indirectly to SOD factioning. No plans to reduce the faction requirements for HOTP at this time.

Are there any plans to give any serious rewards for loyal paying customers who have maintained an active subscription since day one?
We reward players as best we can, in regards to vet rewards we have to be careful to not add items that can imbalance things. This pretty much removes the possibility of adding things like armor or weapons with significant stats. So we are left with more fluff items that do not generally affects the balance of gameplay. Some items, like a mount, may make things more convenient for one player then another but in general vet rewards are mean to be more fluff fun items then anything else.

Given this is the core tanking stat, what is the rationale for warrior's having the weakest block, with paladins 6% ahead and DKs 4% ahead and can this be made equivalent and fair?
We are reviewing the block formula and varying blocks for the different tank classes. The current block differences are a result of a lack of basic functionality at the time the block tank stance changes were made.

Please explain why crafters and diplos that really arent into adventuring cant have an alternative access to POTA for the purpose of enjoying the new content there.
As has been said since the projects inception there will be aspects of the game where a player who has excelled in multiple spheres will have access to some things others do not. HOTP is one of those examples.

You keep adding more stuff to collect. Can we have more bags to store it in?
We have been adjusting and adding more space to the game globally and will continue to do so as time goes on.

How big will be the PotA Raid portion in relation to the apw wings ?
HOSS is the same size as HOTP without a second floor.

Will we ever be able to mount and unmount a horse instead of it going *poof*?
No
