IGN has posted the first of four video podcasts from the Aion team, which you can watch to see members of the NCsoft West team discuss the world and lore of Aion, as well as check out never-before-seen scenes from the game.

While you're there, IGN also interviewed Associate Producer Lani Blazier about the upcoming MMO. Blazier gives some in-depth information on the four main archetypes (Warrior, Scout, Mage and Priest) and explains how you choose a sub class at level 10. "We feel this is important because we want players to be comfortable with how their main selected class plays, and to become familiar with the game mechanics before making an important decision such as a class specialization," Blazier said.

Blazier also gives more information on crafting, stating the six professions will be cooking, weaponsmithing, armorsmithing, tailoring, alchemy and handicraft. You will be able to learn them all, but can only become an expert in one of them. Players will obtain recipes and gather resources to create their items at crafting stations.
