While we were at the New York Comic Con this month, our very own Andrew "Tamat" Beegle had the chance to sit down with BioWare writer Rob Chestney about "Threat of Peace," the new comic series that is being published online to introduce players to the Old Republic time period. Well, the first issue is now available for your reading pleasure on the game's official Web site.

The series is written by Chestney, penciled by Alex Sanchez and produced by Dark Horse Comics, the publisher whose name is synonymous with Star Wars. The first issue focuses on an uncomfortable peace treaty between the Empire and the Galactic Senate. Can light and dark coexist? Well, probably not, but we'll keep reading anyway!

The first issue is three pages long, but you can expect to read two issues a month. The conclusion will set the stage for how your character will ultimately enter the game to start his or her adventures in Star Wars: The Old Republic.
